i know its only if------but i am jet to the end and i prefer to be the optimist the first play is sanchez throws the ball away and jets kick fg add three to jets ----take away 7 from saints-----score could be jets 13 saints 17 second play is sanchez hold onto ball in endzone and takes a safety-----take away 5 points from saints and jets win 13-12 i know its only if-------jets need better play from ol ----3 sacks and poor running game and sanchez under lots of pressure still jets could have won game 13-12 even with lousy offense
takes a safety?? How about step up and throw it away? Or run up to the two yard line? We get it. They won because of the turnovers and would have gone into Overtime if the turnovers didn't happen on the Jets end.
I thought of these situations also. I must say though although a loss is a loss, this one was much easier to swallow because I know we lost that game ourselves, we weren't beaten by a superior team. Could have gone either way
Part of the game is not beating yourself but making that job as hard as possible for your opponent. An offense that puts up 4 TDs a game while also fumbling once, throwing an INT, taking a safety, and allowing multiple sacks isn't a good offense. The potential is there, but the unit as it is, isn't good yet. This is the state of the Jets right now, they have a ton of potential and a LOT of talent. The defense is playing up to its potential, the offense is not. The offense has the potential to be a lot better, but as of now it isn't playing up to that level.
The Giants better win against NO or else I'll be pissed. Need to take these NO fans down a notch. I wasn't impressed at all with their offense. Eli's not gonna spot them 14 points either.
Saints don't drop a knee at the end of the game from a few yards out: Saints 31, Jets 10. The saints didn't open up the passing game in the last two games because they wanted to, and need to, build the running game. They know that in December they may be playing in the snow come playoffs. They have to have a solid running game for that.
You could say the same thing about the Titans fumbling twice on returns against us last week. If they hold onto the ball, they probably would have beaten us. Turnovers are part of the game, you cannot make them "go away."
But didn't you see "Back to the Future?" Mess with the space-time continuum, and the Jets could have lost 48-0.
If wishes and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Leon was wide open on the second pick.
