Lost to an NFC team on the road. Still in 1st place. Defense made the top offense in the league look like nothing special (they were exhausted by the 4th quarter).

    Nothing to be depressed about.

Considering we went on the road to meet the best offense in football, endured our qb giving 14 pts to the other team, and still kept it close almost all game gives me a lot of confidence going into the rest of the season. Sanchez will make mistakes, he's 22 and a rookie. But hopefully they will be limited as the season goes on. This game doesn't really make me depressed. Actually, I have a feeling of optimism that as long as the offense doesn't lose games (like today), our defense will always give us ample opportunity to win them.

The optimism around here is pretty impressive... am I on the right message board?
