I'm not here to bash the jets today, as I think that they will rebound nicely and win there next four games (MIAMI, BUFFALO, OAKLAND, MIAMI) I want someone to explain to me how Minnesota is still capable of running the ball when the box is stacked. I don't want to here about there receivers being great either. Also, I know it is Adrian Peterson. I'm sure Minnesota isn't the only team facing this dilimena. Im sure Baltimore deals with this as well. It worries me that when they stack the box, our receivers still have getting separation. Is this something we should be worried about? Maybe down the road. We shall see.

baltimore doesn't deal with this anymore. Flacco is turning into a beast.

ADRIAN PETERSON! He is unfair. Strongest and fastest RB in the league.

AP AD. Plus, now that old man Favre is there, I don't think their opponents are stacking the box anymore.

Well, if i remember correctly we have a stout oline as well. Not comparing leon to adrian peterson, but we should be running the ball better behind this line whether there are 9 in the box or not. Im not denying the fact that Peterson is a fantastic back, but we have two very good backs as well.

Until Sanchez can show for a few weeks in a row that he demands respect everyone is going to put 8-9 in the box. With our receivers and a rookie QB this is what we are going to see. With time Sanchez will work through this but he needs time.

Neither one is on the same planet as Adrian Peterson. Watch a Vikings game and see the moves the guy makes. Our backs are good, Adrian Peterson is GREAT

I agree, but they didn't give the kid a single shot downfield today to try and earn that respect. Not sure if it was just due to playcalling or if the Saints coverage was just that good.

You remember incorrectly. Our o-line can't open any holes for our running game, and it seems like sanchez is always running for his life

Until Shottenjunior takes the leash of Sanchez and lets him throw passes longer than 5 yards, get used to 8 in the box.

I don't claim to know enough about the subtleties to say for sure how much the offensive playcalling is causing the problems (I'm very sure that it's not doing much to fix them), but I'm quite sure that the offensive line has been anything but "stout" this year. The line isn't doing anywhere near as well as it did last year, especially in run blocking.

Its a combination of why we cant run. We have a rookie QB who cant really spread the field and our O-line has been very average against the rush and pass for that matter.

If you watched tonights game you could see not even Adrian Peterson can run effectively when teams stack the box like the Packers did. Our running game still needs to get going though.

It's a combination of only having average runningbacks and having a quarterback who opponents do not fear.
