in a way it was offensive play calling, where we should have ran we passed when we should have passed we ran, don't get me wrong Sanchez def blew this game for us, unfortuanetly that's to be expected with a rookie if only he did'nt have his rookie game this game we may have been golden but shottenheimer def was no help as well
I didn't see the game, but if the running game was as bad as it's been, people should be giving Sanchez a fucking handjob with a happy ending, even after his performance tonight.
you can't expect to win games if you can't establish the run at all with a rookie QB at the helm. The playcalling did not lend itself to doing that. That being said, those two mistakes are 100% on sanchez, and presumably the game is at 17-3 or at worst 10-3 going into halftime in our favor. But its going to happen, and this was a game that you have to be prepared for things like that to happen. Good news is that we're 3-1 and we can take one from Miami next week and get a good division win. We weren't going to go 16-0 for goodness sake. Hopefully you will take the bad as well as the good away from this game and use it to get better.
The guy had a bad game... it happens. Our playcalling sucked but like I've been saying all day give some credit to New Orleans. Nobody on this board respected their defense and I for one have been convinced that Greg Williams has taken that D to a level that will allow them to compete for the Super Bowl. When teams play our D and fuck up we don't say it's because the other teams QB stinks...we say it's because our D is nasty. Time to suck it up and give New Orleans and their gameplan some props.
We lost this game because of Sanchez...the rookie who has set a record for rookie wins. I'll take that anyday. He finally, hit the rookie wall against a defense he hasn't seen or been prepared for. He's a rookie and also a great QB. Our DEFENSE is lights years away from our offense, we chose "D" over the "o" in FA. Rex built this team around the defense without neglicting the offense. Sanchez was drafted for next year not this year. He will be great and he is doing a lot better than we all think. The media continues to say we win because of Sanchez, I beg to differ...it's the DEFENSE plain and simple. Now that we are exposed about our current WR situation what do we do about it? We have as a # 1 WR that on most teams is a # 2 WR or # 3 WR thats whats up. We don't have a # 1. Sanchez will be fine and i'm very proud of this DEFENSE!
The rookie had a bad game. Give me a break with the other crap. We need a # 1 WR and we have a very good offensive line and a very top notch DEFENSE. If you see more than that then you haven't been a NYJ for very long. This is not the same old Jets.
They don't need to bring in some big name WR. They need one besides Cotchery that can catch the ball. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult but based on the garbage the Jets are putting on the field it apparently is.

Our whole defense was AWESOME! I LOVED Bart Scott talking trash to Sean Payton on the sidelines after we stopped them on 4th and 1.
Cotchery has played like a #1 this season. Our problem is a #2. Stuck drops too many passes. Brad Smith is not a WR. Clowney never sees the field.
I wouldn't say our WHOLE d was awesome considering they blew it on the running game. And yeah I freaking loved Bart Scott trash talking Sean Payton it was awesome. I can't wait till Pace comes back this is will be HUGE. Get ready to see the sacks coming in.
Bottom line...Jets are 3-1. Much better than everyone thought at this point. They have an opportunity to show the nation how good they can be by crushing the Fish on national tv. Let's all think positive for a change...remember, ROOKIE QB who will make a lot of mistakes. It did not help that the O-line looked like the O-line of the days when they were blocking for Kenny O. So they bring their A game on 10/12 and then it's 4-1. ..
Gholston was the only one out there that you can say did not play well, everyone else on defense was more than solid. What more do you want? We were going 3 and out over and over, our defense was tired down the stretch. Our Defense gave us every chance to win this game, and we just couldnt pull it out.
