I voted YES because I'm a Jets fan, but a third or fourth option would have been nice. "It will be a tough game and the Jets will beat the spread." With our banged up team we could really use a off week. Also Pace will be back, but not soon enough for this big battle.
The complete polarity of this poll is a bit much. I don't think "we have no chance" but I don't think we're going to be able to pull it out - probably lose a close one. Perhaps more subdued, middle of the road options next time will get you better results.
I see myself looking at my Jets bud's and screaming Holy F#@#$ing Shit ,this kid is dynomite! We will win!
I'm always amazed that the so-called-experts that make up the line on the game have the Jets as 7 point underdogs, but the all-knowing un-prejudiced people on this forum always know more. Do I hope the Jets win - Yes Do I think it will be an interesting game - Yes Do I honestly think they will win - No
I don't like the voting options. I don't think there is no chance we win, and I don't think there is no doubt we win either.
What's with the options? No doubt or no chance? Of course, it has to be one or the other....geez. Next time let's just make it a yes or no. We do have a chance, but there are doubts for both teams....get it? Good poll.
It's a 50/50 game. Therefore, I'll go with the Jets. Why is it 50/50? The Jets' defense uses confusing packages of overload blitzes to get to the quarterback. Although we will send 6 or 7 guys occasionally, the majority of the time we're sending 4 or 5. Thus, we don't expose ourselves to broken coverage. Also, the Jets defense makes great adjustments pre-snap, and can call exotic blitzes even if the offense audibles. Now consider the fact that the Saints' left tackle is a 3rd stringer, and that the Saints' oline isn't that great overall even when Jamal Brown starts. Brees will be pigeon-holed into making quick decisions to one side of the field, and this will cause confusion. The Saints will score their points through the air, but Brees will get hit and will make mistakes. The Saints have a decent running game, but it's no where near what the Titans presented last week. The Jets can definitely slow them down. I see the Saints scoring between 21-28 points. The Jet's offense is somewhat dependent on the run, but it is still efficient without it. The Titans have a great front four, and the Jets were still able to score 24 points (although they did benefit from two botched punt returns). The Saints play in a dome, and this will help the Jets perform better as they normally play outside with the weather. I think Schotty's been saving some creative plays for this game (double reverse anyone?). I think the Jets can score between 21-28 points. It's a 50/50 game. Go Jets!
