Scott Fujita wants Saints fans to be "drunk and loud"
Posted by Mike Florio on October 4, 2009 8:28 AM ET
It worked two weeks ago for the Jets. So the Saints are giving it a try today.

Specifically, coach Sean Payton wants the Superdome to be a rockin' when the Jets come a knockin'.

"I told our team, three years ago we played a home game on a Monday night against Atlanta and a lot of people will be at this game that were at that game," Payton said recently, per Jim Corbett of USA Today. "So the challenge from a fan standpoint is to exceed that atmosphere."

Linebacker Scott Fujita put it slightly more bluntly: "What can the fans do? They can get drunk and be loud. That's what I would suggest." (And may we be so bold as to suggest an official NFL ping (beer) pong table to assist in that effort?)

After New York's Week Two fan-fueled win over the Pats, Fireman Ed got a game ball.

So if the Saints beat the Jets and the fans show up "drunk and loud," who'll get the game ball?

Maybe it'll be the "F--k Da Eagles" girl.

The drunk part shouldn't be a problem. And they'll be loud until Harris knocks Brees out of the game.

Not a good idea, drunk drivers seem to always kill the other person in car crashes.

Right because asking thousands of people to get drunk is. New Orleans doesn't have subways they will all be driving home. Now please ride away on your moral high horses.

That's what I'm talkin 'bout! We will win this game because we will KICK THE SHIT OUT OF THEM! Physical domination! Everything else is secondary to this team's success.

And I hope those fans are good and drunk from the start. They'll start out all big and loud and tire quickly and need to take naps by the second half.

Sorry, I have a car only which I drive 100% sober at all times, Do all Texans still only drive horses?
Nothing to do with moral high ground, its just common sense.

I need a translator. My point was his comment was stupid and I chose to use humor to prove my point. I was being facetious I didn't think it needed to be explained.

Man, this is gonna be a tough tough game

Everything is going against us...banged up secondary against a prolific passing offense, tough crowd, rookie QB (even tho he's playing like a seasoned vet)...yet I still think we win cus I don' give a shit about logic

If Brees goes down, we'll beat you with Brunel. Mark my words.
