I know I will get killed for this but if you think about it a loss isn't the worst thing that could happen this week. Sometimes failure brings great success. I know this is a different sport but do you think Michael Jordan would have become the star he was without being cut from his high school basketball team? No. I truly think we can win this game, but on the other side we can very easily lose it. What benefit do we get by winning? The answer is easy another win, possible distancing ourselves from the Pats who can and hopefully will lose to the Ravens. But if you look at our remaining games before our bye week we can win them all. Miami twice the bills and Oakland. So if we win we are 4-0, if we lose we are 3-1. But with a loss I think we will come back to earth a little, I know I wasn't the only one who saw the Titan game almost go the other way. The team will refocus and work harder. With a refocused team at the bye week we can easily be 7-1, which is pretty damn good considering most people picked us to do 7-9 at best. Don't get me wrong, I would love a win, but I would rather loss this game then any of our other ones coming up before the bye week, why not lose a game we are the underdogs rather then favored. If we don't stay focused we can kiss this beautiful season goodbye. And that is why a loss this week really wouldn't hurt me that bad. Tell me if you agree.

I can see your point, but a loss is never a good thing. I think that being 4-0 and having a big win against a team like the Saints would keep the Jets way more focused than losing. It would also give a bunch of momentum for the upcoming games.

And not to be a dick... but it's loss

I've seen a couple people on here the past two weeks saying they wouldn't "mind" a loss, or that they'd be alright with it. What the HELL is this? I've got confidence in my boys goin' undefeated. Sure, if we lose we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. But I will never ever say that I'll be alright with one before the fact. There is no reason this team can't be undefeated. As far as coming back down to Earth; we're Jets and we fly high. Fuck the rest of the AFC East.... No fuck the rest of the NFL. We've got big plans.

I feel the sameway as a Saints fan. Meaning I would rather lost to an AFC opponent than a NFC opponent.

Luckily I wont have to worry about that this week. LOL J/K

Im sorry but you just need to never speak again. This is the problem with us Jets fans. Such pessimistic losing attitudes. We dont need to come back down to earth! We need to keep kicking ass and go undefeated if we can. If we lose then we lose but dont spew this crap before a big game. God this thread just made me ill........

I think what the OP is trying to say is that if the Jets lose on sunday this place shouldn't break itself down and go apeshit like it always does.

threads like "so we aren't this good????!!!" "Where is rex to save us??!!?" and "OMG SOJ is back nooooo!!!" shouldn't be made if the Jets lose to a high powered team like the Saints in the Superdome.

Threads like "damn, good game. Sucks they lost. Lets go kill some dolphins." should be what i'm reading on monday.

but then again this place has its share of invalid retards which means it'll be 40 threads of SOJ garbage if the Saints win by more than one point.

lol, that will never happen. If we lose this Sunday the threads on this board will be of who will we choose with the #1 draft pick. I agree that if we lose it is not the end of the world by far but to say you wont mind if we lose is pushing it.

Of course a loss to the Saints would be a lot better than losing to a conference/division opponent...but like thejetsaddict said to say you wont mind is pushing it...every game is so important in the nfl and a win over the high powered saints on the road could push this team's confidence through the roof..

I Get your point but if where the real deal which alot of think we are. There wont be no letdown this season, If our team executes the game plan and has the skill to get it done then we will. I never will want to take a loss. Although to see how this team comes back from failure will be something to watch.

Sanchise is going for that W Homies!

If the Jet's culture has truly changed, then there is absolutely no reason for any of us to accept (or expect) a loss. This team (especially defense) just seems so determined to be elite, that I am sure they're planning on going down there to pound the crap out of NO. The offense should be getting better each week which means at the very least, we can control the ball against anyone. The defense is nasty, and has proven to be able to deal with adversity.

I expect us to win this game. Ryan has his team BELIEVING they are the hammer, and every opponent is a nail.

Let me say that I want the Jets to go down to New Orleans and slam Brees into the turf. Stuff the Saints and prevent them from entering the endzone at all costs.

But at the same time I could see them getting a loss here. I believe that the culture has changed for our team with Rex Ryan & the boys can rebound if they don't get out of the Big Easy with a W.

But once again everyone said we would lose to the Texans, the Pats & lose to the Titans. Many have said the Jets would start the season 0-5. Maybe they can get some voodoo from a local priest who got ticked off at the Saints and will sprinkle some of that stuff in their locker room.

    :jets:
