Made out in this draft as usual... Mulroney and Chad Jackson... best damn reciever coming out and now we have to face him twice a year...

I'm happy with our draft, but it sux that the Pats had a good one too and got explosive skill players...

When we are looking like a team that is comparable to the Patriots, maybe we can pick some "skill players" in the draft also.

This year we did exactly what we should have done. And what we needed to do.

Mulroney is going to be great but Jackson would have been a mid second rounder in most drafts. He's way over-rated in a weak wr draft.

Take it from a Patriots fan on this one. Of all the teams in the AFC East, it appears to me that the Jets have a good thing going. The Bills are a joke and it appears that Saban doesn't have the patience and discipline necessary to stockpile picks like Mangini demonstrated by fleecing the friggin Redskins for their second round pick next year. What a joke that was. Let's be realistic here, it going to be a couple years before the Jets are contending again in the East, but at least they've begun the process right. I just hope Jets fans have the patience to let Mangini succeed. He's likely to take his lumps given his lack of experience but he seems like a bright, hardworking, and likeable guy. Herm was a snake oil salesman who was all bark and no bite...

Im really tired of this Patriot thing. Even in the baby they called us the baby pats. We are the New York Jets I dont care about what the damn patriots did and such. Who cares. Its getting annoying with the Mangini and NE references. Its as if the patriots just bought out the Jets and are "expanding". Why dont we worry about ourselves and our own identity or lack thereof.

I agree with most of this post, however I never think the Jets are out of contention. I think the AFC east in general has lost a little bit of its edge. Shit, It's no NFC division, but last year we didn't even fill a wild card billet.

New England could of picked Andre Hall in the 1st round and no one would bash it...Whatever Belichick does, noone really questions, thats what happens when you got the rings...

Thanks for the honest opinion... and a good one to hear from a Pats fan. I thought our draft was the right one for us at this time and I'm absolutely ecstatic when I think of fleecing the Redskins for the '07 #2.

They did have a great draft, but you never know with Florida WRs and Maroney had the best OL in football to run behind.

We can pick up solid talent with that pick next year, right where it is, or... we can bundle it with our natural #2 and move up to take a great, franchise RB! Let's hope the Deadskins finish at like, 4-12. Go Giants! Go Dallas! Go Philly!

yeah i think the chad jackson is a cant miss stud talk is simply foolish...plus theres a bunch of guys out there who can run and catch a football....we're not in the same league as the pats right now and cannot afford a "luxury"pick like a one-dimensional potential offensive spark
