If one or both of these injuries were serious and were going to linger the jets would have definitely signed Ivy or Miller (most likely Ivy). There would be no sense in not bringing someone in if the team knows they are going to be missing one or both of their CB's leading up to a game against the Titans and with the Saints looming.

We have never seen how Rex handles injuries. Is he more inclined to hold a guy out allowing him to totally heal rather then pushing him through an injury? I know Rex has a tough exterior but his reputation is that of a guy that will do anything for his players.

Today is going to be a great opportunity for Lowery. The Titans offensive styles plays directly into his strengths. I'm also really curious to see how he plays given more playing time in this system. He went from looking incredible to terrible in a very short period of time. Mangini seems to have this effect on his young players (ex Gholston). Although Gholston never looked incredible he never really seemed to have a chance to prove himself. But I'll stop the VG talk now before this thread gets hijacked.

Point of the thread is one or both of these guys will not be out for an extended period or else the Jets would have made a move.

Thanks, that's reassuring. I'll spread the word to all worried Jet fans that TurkJetFan has declared the injuries "not serious."

That was a rather obnixious comment. I would hope the posters here would have higher standards.

Turk, your comeback was priceless!!!! LOL. To be honest though, after a 3-0 start pretty much everything is funny

I think he just didn't want to risk anything with those guys because were going to need them as close to hundred percent as possible for nawlins..

lol something tells me it wont just be today

    anyway...

I liked how Lowery picked it up but at the same time it wasnt against any special WR's. He also got blown up a couple of times and was saved by the drop.

We absolutely need one of these two back next week. If this isnt going to happen i think we really need to consider bringing someone in

I think JCotchrocket 's point was that Turk was stating opinion, and not fact. When I saw the thread title, I thought that news had come out of the Jets camp that the injuries were in fact not serious. I don't think the severity of the injuries has been reported yet...
