This team is a mess. Fighting and finger pointing in the locker room. Had a player ejected vs Houston for throwing a punch. And now Leon, Leonard and Westhoff have to being licking their chops over this:

Now, Chris Johnson is a beast..But I fully expect Rex to stack the line and Challenge Collins. Gage and Britt do not scare anyone. Bo Scaife and Crumpler are not there to catch the ball.

I do not fear the Oilers.

Me neither. The only way they can score on us is if Johnson busts open a few big plays, and we know that.

I predict at least 5 sacks for the Jets D. As long as we control the LOS in this game, we'll be fine.

While this would typically be a letdown game for the Jets, I think this new Jets team is ready for the challenge. I'll be very disappointed if we don't win this game.

Agreed but we cant look pass them because there struggling they can still be a dangerous team especially with Chris Johnson in there backfield.

I do not think Rex and company will look past them.

This game scares me because the Titans are 0-2 and H U N G R Y, and the Jets are flying high after beating the Pats. We've seen this happen year after year, especially last season when we came back from destroying the Titans and then shit the bed against the Broncos at home.

    Classic letdown scenario.

Chris Johnson can ruin everyone's day singlehandedly. I have faith in Ryan solving the problems that coverage of tight ends in the flat gave the Jets last year, but you never know... it could recur. Scott is a great cover LB, but Harris less so. Who knows if Bo Scaife doesn't haul in 80 yards?

    Any given Sunday, people.

We might see our good old friend Reggie Hodges:

Titans | Work out several punters Tuesday

Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post, reports the Tennessee Titans worked out several punters Tuesday, Sept. 22. Unrestricted free-agent Ps Reggie Hodges (Jets), A.J. Trapasso (Buccaneers), Glenn Pakulak (Jets) and Ricky Schmitt (49ers) were among the group of punters to work out.

Well, we matched up very well with the Titans last season and we're actually fielding a more talented defense this season. Tennessee can't say the same thing. I think we're going to have much better success on the ground than we have had in previous weeks. The O-line already knows their front 7 and had success against them last season, with and without Haynesworth in there. I would really like to see Shonn Greene in this game, but it seems like Rex is saving that roster spot for extra defenders until Pace comes back.

Collins lives on game management and we'll end up having to defend the short routes most of the day, kind of like the Pats were playing us, although Tenn's running game is far more potent.

I think we'll be running a lot more sets with LBs in the box than we did on Sunday, and that could actually hurt a little more since we have a lot of inexperience at the OLB position outside our starters.

I have a feeling that Fisher is going to attack the edges a lot with outside runs, screens and designed checkdowns that draw the safeties off the line, but Rex is a smart guy and he's not afraid of single coverage with excellent wideouts like the Pats have, so I doubt it will weigh heavily on his mind with a WR corps like the Tits have.

This is definitely the classic 'trap game', but hopefully Rex is the type of guy that won't let the team rest on their laurels and get high on their brief success. It's amazing. After 2 weeks, Rex has removed that hidden dread I had ingrained in me as a Jets fan and made much nothing but hungry for more wins. I can't wait until Sunday.

The Jets are Hungry too. Rex has a point to make and his team is going to run through walls for him.

This is not the same team as last year. And the mentality and focus is much different. that was evident this week.

Bwahaha yeah or our good friend AJ Trapasso or our good friend Glenn Pakulak. Rex and Westhoff are probably laughing their asses off.

I searched and most have the same amount of traffic as the feedback forum here.

That depends on what you would consider 'good'. This one is relatively active compared to some of the others I've seen.

Their only hope is the run game... if we shut that down then we can go after the highly immobile Collins.

Kerry Collins has a tendency to get flustered when faced with a big pass rush, especially blitzers.

The Titans did beat the Ravens last season 13-10, but Collins had a tough time in the game and threw 2 interceptions with a 52.0 passer rating and just over 5 yards a pass attempt. He did lead a late TD drive to beat the Ravens, however the Ravens committed several penalties on the drive including a roughing the passer on the Titans 20 on 3rd and 10 that kept the drive alive.

I think the key to this game will be the same as the first two: whichever team manages to pressure the passer better is going to win. If that turns into a standoff then the team that gets the running game going has the edge.

I don't want to get over confident at this point but I have a hard time seeing the Titans beat the Jets unless Sanchez has his first bad start, likely due to being pressured by the Titans.
