This is like playing chess with an eight year old. Find me a lineman in the NFL who wouldn't break the rules to protect his QB from getting leveled. A hold, a trip, a cut....they all do it. Thinking otherwise is just plain ignorant. Nice call on the penalties. You forgot to mention the majority of them are false starts. And I had better things to do rather then watch a Giants - Cowboys game, like rearrange my underwear drawer. This was answered above. Noble effort. But since I'm in a good mood, I'll reiterate. O-Lineman will do whatever they have to do to protect there QB. Ask around, maybe you'll learn something. Your constant attacks on me and my family only further cement the fact that your argument is a sad cry for attention and sympathy with no real basis to defend it. We really could care less about Tuck. Why don't you go to a Giants board where somebody will blindly agree with you to make you happy.
Holding and tripping/cutting are two different things. If you think it's okay to injure another player because you suck at your job and he's beating you; you're a dick. It's really not that hard. Try stretching out your mind a bit by reciting the alphabet a few times, then see if you can wrap your brain around the idea of sportsmanship. The majority of ANY OLs penalties will be false starts as they are the easiest to spot. If no one else is moving and you are, it stands out more than more subtle things (like holding). Having said that, tripping is pretty easy to spot and he's been FINED for it before. But hey, how can I expect you to know that? I only typed it to you a few minutes ago. I'll grant you that organizing your underwear drawer must be pretty fun; what with the variety in the skidmarks and the pink lacy ones you slip to make you feel pretty you must have a grand old time organizing that! OL will hold to protect their QB. NOT everyone of them will chop block or trip. I don't know what it's like over in Asshole-Land (I assume lonely because NOBODY else is agreeing with you and your lonely, jaded point of view) but most players actually have a problem with going at another man's knees. Most people who have actually played the game understand that it's JUST A GAME and don't try to end someone else's career. But hey, you played ball in college; I'll bet if anyone ever got close to the kicker while you were holding for him you went for his knees like there was no tomorrow! I attack your family because I find fault in their genetics (after talking with you it's kind of hard not to) and I don't really expect you to care about Tuck at all. I don't know why you think I want you to stay up at night crying about Tuck, I would much rather you understand the idea of sportsmanship. You don't, and that's a shame. But I don't need to go to a Giants' board and have guys agree with me (which they would because what I'm saying makes sense, try it sometime) because I'm actually having some fun with this! Oh, and do you often find yourself on the losing end of those chess games with those eight year olds?
Does the fact that you stand alone on this issue tell you anything? I point this out in the off-chance it gets by your sieve-like mind.
You're like a broken record continuously playing the same tired verse. Tuck fell on his shoulder. We're talking about tripping. I don't think a trip, which in turn injures a shoulder, shows a desire to injure another player. Unless it's your rival doing it, right? Adams must have been sitting around hatching out a plan to end Tuck's career. After all, he was playing the Giants. Your argument, which consists of; "Yes he did! Your mom!", is really boring the shit out of me. If you aren't going to offer anything other then attacks, then I'm done wasting my time with your conspiracy theories. The man is against you and Adams will have a gun next time. Call the cops.
Most of the members of this board don't really give a shit about your crying-game, so they haven't voiced their opinions.
Here, take it from your own team. "Guys get beat and they have to do anything to save their quarterback, but that is not an excuse." Mathias Kiwanuka But nobody does that in the NFL.
AWWW. Don't be mad, SyracuseJet! Just cuz I'm smarter and stuff doesn't mean you need to get upset and cry  Listen up, asshole (and I say that not because I disagree with you, but because you think it's okay to trip, leg-whip, chopblock, etc) because I'm going to break this down for you one more time. Maybe later, after you're done looking up pictures of boobs and thinking about how awesome the ones you got to touch once were, you'll understand. Here goes: 1. Guy breaks rules. 2. Guy is fined for breaking rules. 3. Guy doesn't care, keeps breaking rules. It is at this point we disagree. I think he should be suspended because the fines obviously aren't hitting home. Take him off the field and make him forfeit a game check for a week or two and you'll get his attention fast. You seem to think the man is just doing his job and it's a hard world and everyone else should just wise up. It is at this point I started considering you a douchebag. Seeing as how you've done nothing to disprove my thesis and indeed have gone on to cement your status to that end, I would say we have reached consensus! Have a wonderful evening, douchebag. I hope Flozell doesn't snore too loud for you.
Not only did he injure Tuck, but there were at least 3 or 4 other times when he got beat by a pass rush, and stuck out his leg to trip the DE or DT. Talk about blatant lazy cheap play. He is dangerous to anybody he plays against. -Big Poppa Naich Yep. He needs to be suspended. -Big Green Machine Fined? Of course. Suspended? The key issue is one of repeat offenses. I have absolutely no problem with someone who has deliberately tripped people several times getting a one game suspension, just as I have no problem with someone who has deliberately chop blocked people several times getting a suspension. The game is dangerous enough when it's played cleanly. -staffjet22 You can go back and read those in this thread if you feel so inclined. The fact of the matter is Adams has been a dick and been so repeatedly. You find this okay (insert joke about your attraction to dicks here) while no one else does. You're logic is that of an asshole who has no problem breaking the rules as often as is needed. I don't know why it's so hard to explain this to you. You're already a tool, can't you at least be self-aware?
this isnt dumb at all...a bitch move is hitting someone while their down or illegal block in the back... but a trip can cause INJURY as it did here... i think its more dangerous then someone throwing a 300lb body at you because at least you can brace yourself for it...your running into a swinging 70 lb leg without knowing its coming can get your seriously hurt
I'm also quite glad most Jets fans aren't like you. The fan base at large understands class and sportsmanship. You should learn from some of your betters, I doubt it will be hard to find one.
Ah! You couldn't at least have gotten a classic Shawn Michaels shot for that? I haven't seen wrestling in a while and don't even know who that guy is!
Maybe this will help change their mind. It's dirty, it's uncalled for when you have 300lb men running around, and it could hurt somebody. He really should be suspended.
He's been fined $7,500. This is his third time doing this in three weeks!! I don't really know what else it will take. Here's a link verifying his fine, though I am sure you could find it a ton of places. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/09/30/flozell-fined-again/
