No different then the Jets getting stuck with the site clean up bill , for Our failed stadium attempt. We should have never given up that bastards rights and got something for him from the Vikes. Childress wanted him so badly that he would have given up his first born!
No. Teams do this every week.... I don't think any players ever offered up other info though and publicly admitted his injury was worse.... The Pats invented this shit.
I don't get it. We're in trouble for not saying that a guy who didn't miss a snap had a minor injury that held him out of all of 0 minutes of playing time? What? Can we fine BB for saying that Brady has an injury and is questionable for every single game?
Do I think the rule that a coach needs to inform the public/other teams who is hurt and to what degree is for any other reason then to keep gamblers and the mob from being able to manipulate the league? No, but it is a rule. It is a rule that is pretty much impossible to enforce, and any good coach worth his salt will try to massage this to reveal as little as people. So I have NO problem with the Jets, the Pats etc doing it. The real issue here is Favre. Not sure I have seen anyone so exalted destroy his reputation and image so quickly after having a career where he was as untouchable as Jeter.
Now if the NFL would just look into Tom Brady being ON the list for like 4 years running every week as probable (shoulder) we might just get somewhere with reforming the system.
