Brady Quinn, 6-4, 222, Notre Dame

    in next year's draft.

Except for the OL we did not improve the team. Add in the fact players have to learn yet another new system and a coach that still has a lot to learn too, plus not one big FA signings.

This is one of the worst off seasons in a very long time.

    Thanks for your opinion bud.

PS: They didn't draft Clemens in Round 2 to keep the bench warm and fill the gatorade cups...If Chad does not come back, I fully expect Clemens to get a chance at the job.

There's just absolutely no way you could possibly know that.

Clemens is nothing more than a shorter Chad. No zip or long ball to be found. Only accurate short passes. Wow that is excitement.

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I think you would be bitching if we drafted Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Super Mario and Michael Huff. You would say we ignored the Tight End Position...

Have you watched him at all or are u just making crap up. i've seen himm play and he has plenty of zip on his passes and can throw a long ball. Throws well on the run and is very mobile.

Brick, Mangold, and Leon Washington were good picks-- we'll see about the 2 QB's-- I think Brad Smith could be decent- he had good numbers, and good size for a WR- and looked good in the open field from what I saw in games.

However, I am not a fan of the other picks-- I would have liked to see us get a LB, or DT who projects as a starter either higher in the draft, or in FA.

    I'm not too happy either.

He also has a very quick release and can make all the throws. The guy is going to get every chance to be our QB.

so it is your opinion that the Jets should draft him no matter what? what if he is projected as the top pick but the Jets have the 10th pick. by your statement you believe the Jets should trade whatever it takes to be in a position to draft him--yet you know absolutley nothing of what the teams needs will be next year at this time.

but you don't care, the Jets should simply draft Quinn no matter what.

Mangold and Leon Washington were great value picks and fill needs but Brick cost too much and the rest of the picks were baffling. The only area we really addressed was the Ol and it was not enough to improve this team.

That's a fine opinion, but you don't know that. It's impossible to say factually.

Why is it people feel they need to just post to troll? It's his opinion on the state of the team. If you don't have anything to add, then go to another thread.

Clemmens will probably be our QB come December. I don't like most of the middle round picks, but our first three actual picks were good, and the last one addressed a need. I have been pissing and moaning the past two days in the draft thread, but I am a bit happier after seeing the take on the DT we picked last.

Mel described him as a Chad with a good arm.

I think what he is saying is that we will have the No. 1 pick next year...

Getting a healthy version of Chad Pennington wouldn't be a bad thing.

But Clemens is a lot different. He's very mobile. He can move in and out of the pocket. He also takes more chances than Chad. Pennington plays it safe, some times too safe and dumps the ball off as opposed to making the tough throw. Clemens is on the other side and makes too many mistakes, though he cut down on them last year.

What, did you put your hands over your eyes when they were showing the Clemens footage? Good God.
