The Kendra chick is like the textbook example of a butterface. She looks like a horse even after a professional airbursh.

    According to Jason LaCanfora:

The Philadelphia Eagles will activate QB Michael Vick to the active 53-man roster today and release WR Hank Baskett, according to a league source.

Could we be interested in the guy? I hope so! I wouldn't have traded anything to get him but for nothing I think he's worth a look... We could keep him until we have to reinstate Pace and evaluate him.

while we are at it, maybe we can sign Chris Angel and Freddie Mitchell as well if we want Eagles rejects and Playmate beaus.

"Baskett has become a valuable option at receiver with his size and athletic ability, setting career highs in catches (33) and touchdowns (3) in 2008. He has also contributed on special teams and was voted that unit's MVP in 2007."

This makes it even more interesting...

There is no reason for us to get this guy, like I said earlier he has a better chance at catching VD then a TD.

Seems like you're right... according to rotoworld:

    Hank Baskett-WR-Eagles Sep. 15 - 3:03 pm et

    Eagles released WR Hank Baskett.

They needed to make roster space for both Jeff Garcia and Michael Vick. Baskett has been on the trade block, but the Eagles found no takers. He's sure to draw interest as a special teamer and fifth receiver, and he has a history with Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. The Jets reportedly have no interest.

I'm sure he can't be any worse then Smith at catching though...

No thanks. He's not anything better then what we currently have. I'd take Cotchery and Stuckey over him and Smith and Wright help us more because they can play ST and Clowney is our deep threat. Unless we are bringing in a legit number 1 WR or another guy like Cotchery I dont really see the need for it now that we have started the season.

Baskett is a better WR than Smith or Wright, and is almost, if not as good on special teams as them both. He would be an upgrade over either of them.

Baskett was the eagles special teams MVP in 07 and he is a better reciever then Wright... I hope we bring him in but i think we won't...

There is something to be said for team chemistry and dropping players who have been there for years after the season has started to take a flier on someone who could contribute more could effect what the Jets have built thus far. The less certain players are about their jobs the less likely they are to sacrifice for a team which is a problem that you don't want to have when you're already starting a rookie QB.

Barring any injuries....I don't believe the Jets will sign or trade for any Wideouts this season...I think they're gonna roll with the WR corps they have.

All these "Let's get Baskett or whoever" threads are futile at this point.

Particularly after what we saw the first week. I think Stuckey caught enough balls last season and is in year three of this offense to be counted on for 50 or so catches. Besides that, it's clear that Schottenheimer plans on using the tight end in the passing game more than Mangini ever let him, and Leon should be counted on for 40 or so catches out of the backfield.

I think Hank Baskett would be roster fodder. He's tall, but he's a fourth or fifth receiver at best.
