What a game!! Obviously trivial, but did it annoy anyone else that the game clock on TV was not updating. I kept screaming at the TV as the final minutes wound down and the time never changed. Man, did David Harris have a game or what. The sack he had reminded me of the scene from Fast Times in Ridgemont high where Forest Whitaker jumps over the offsensive line and tackles the QB and RB.
7:20 of the 3rd quarter it stayed after the texans ran a play. than it said 0:00. then adjusted to 6:49 when they where huddling.
david harris looks so comfortable in his role he could be in for a huge season if jenkins is rested properly/stays healthy.
I noticed the game clock stopped at 4:44 or something remaining in the game while the Jets had possession, and I immediately went to "conspiracy-theory" mode at that point. I was like the "NFL does not want the Jets to win this game" or something.... I thought Simms and Nantz were either blind or stupid or both that they didn't notice it but maybe they did and saw that it was being worked on....but could they at least tell the fans that? And David Harris...what can you say? He snacks on danger and Dines on DEATH.
That was the only issue I noticed. My biggest annoyance was the freakin DirectTV Direct Mix, which was responding as slow as molasses when I tried to change games during commercials for the Jets game.
The displayed clock on the TV screen froze for several plays three times in the second half. Nobody said a word about it and there was a significant adjustment when the displayed clock began moving again. I was assuming technical problems at CBS after the first hiccup. I think the announcers would have caught it if the actual game clock itself was not rolling during play.
That's most likely the case. Both HCs would have been screaming bloody murder if the game clock froze.
I second that! I had a permagrin on my face that wouldn't allow me to even move. Except to grab the occasional beer.
THANK GOD! I was waiting for this post, and when it didn't come, I was begining to think something is wrong with my box. Clearly a directtv issue! Whew!
