depends on how the pats look tomorrow if they look like same old pats I'd say -7 if brady looks rusty i could see -5
it will depend on how the bills game goes tomorrow night. If the pats destroy Buffalo, it will be like -8, but if the game is close i expect it will be like -5.5, if the bills manage to win? ha we might only be 2 point dogs... If brady gets hurt again, i expect we become 5 point favorites.... this of course is the least likely scenario...
i just hope the results are diff. then last year going into week 2 we all thought a Jets W was coming vs the Pats.
Pats -3 or 4. It's a road game for them and the Jets have a defense. No way the Pats give 7+ unless they absolutely destroy Buffalo and even then I don't see it.
no offense but dont quite your day job and become an oddsmaker. even as a jets fan id put my life savings on the pats with that line.
New England is giving 10.5 points at home against a last place team that they beat twice last year by an average of 11.5 points a game without Tom Brady. I'm going to be shocked if the bookies don't give the Jets much better odds at home than they're giving the Bills on the road. We'll know what the initial line is on Wednesday. I'm guessing it winds up at 4 or less by Sunday morning. If the Jets get like 7 or 8 points there's going to be so much money coming down on them early that the line is going to fly towards the Pats by Friday or Saturday.
I don't know, I think we have more of a shot next week than some people give us. I'm not going to be a total homer, and I'm not going to predict a win... but Brady struggled when pressured in the preseason, and pressure is something we will surely provide. I don't know if the buffalo game will be enough time for Brady to get back to his old self. The patriots defense is pegged to be slightly less effective this year, bringing back only four starters from last season. We'll see how things stack up though, of course. I won't be surprised if we lose next week, but I'll be surprised if we're not still in the game in the fourth quarter. Predicted spread is patriots -7 because the media seems to love the patriots so goddamn much.
I don't really have any idea what the spread will be, but blaming the media if the Pats are favored by too much is putting it in the wrong place. The spread is determined by bettors, not the media, as it is designed to balance the money on either side of the bet.
early oddmakers shows jets as +6 1/2 against pats i think jets can win.. but we'll see what the pats got tomorrow. they lost a lot on D and brady is coming off a major injury
