I'm very happy with the Jets today...But Thomas Jones is having a putrid game so far. He doesn't seem focused. Thank god for Leon carrying the load b/c without him we're screwed right now
i agree with the anouncers. TJ is a running up the gut kinda guy, and the texans are very powerful up front. even leon is having trouble running up the gut. most of leons success has come on the outside. lets just be happy we have a good inside and outside guy in th ebackfield
Again, someone bashing a JETS player...it doesn't end. How about realizing the TEXANS front 7 is dominating the run game???? LEON can't run either which is why we ran the options.. He actually picked up a KEY block a few times.... stop the hate!
TJ, Leon and Greene (when he'll play) should complement each other pretty well... some of the runs TJ isn't making are carries Greene should be getting...
thank you someone who is seeing clearly lol TJ is NOT having a good day out there....i don't see urgency or burst from him at all....i'm not overly concerned but its an observation...leon isnt a power rusher and Shonn Greene hasn't proved a thing yet....so we need to keep an eye on TJ
said this in enough thomas jones threads, but a) he is a slow starter, like curtis martin was b) leon will have big games vs teams that rush inside, jones will have big games vs teams that rush outside, doesn't make jones bad, makes the jets well balanced
i never said jones is bad...i'm saying jones isn't having a good day...b/c last year when Leon wasn't heavily involved TJ was the leading rusher in the AFC...not b/c he played all defenses who are good at rushing outside, but b/c he was running hard, and downhill...
