Big 10 SUCKS, no doubt they can talk about all there rankings and whatever, but they suck they cant play anybody not in their confrence
Now we need to root for Ohio State to beat Penn State and that boring conference can get slaughtered in the Rose Bowl again but no awful national title games for the Big 10.
If you're not watching Boise St vs Fresno St, you're missing out. 48-34, Boise St. Just over 9 minutes to play.
Shiiiiit...I wasn't expecting a rebuilding Fresno team to even compete with the Broncos, but at one point in the game, it could've gone either way: If Marvin Haynes intercepts that pass, the Dogs get momentum and tie the game...instead he drops the pick and the Blue Horses score on the next play. Game over. Oh well...the Dogs will get them next year and I'm confident in that. Every single starter except our center will return in 2010 and he'll be replaced by a 3 star prospect. 2010 will be the Dogs best chance to make a BCS run in a long time. If you haven't heard of Ryan Mathews yet, you know him now...when healthy he's the best back on any mid-major team.
Yeah a very entertaining game to watch. Not sure if I've ever seen that many 50+ yard runs in one game by both teams.
I can't wait for Pat Hill to use some freshmen and sophomores on defense...the loyalty to his older players isn't going to work. Fresno's safeties are god awful in run support...and Marvin Haynes' dropped INT basically gave Boise the win. Our defensive line is much improved, but injuries against Wisconsin hurt - Fresno only had three defensive tackles against Boise...and they controlled most of the first half, so the Dogs were worn down. Defensive end Chris Carter is going to be a star in the WAC...just a high motor guy with speed off the edge. At linebacker, Kyle Knox and Ben Jacobs are solid, but the weak side needs a change. Nico Herron is a slow as shit and got burned numerous times last night - he'll be replaced by true freshman Travis Brown sooner than later. Ben Jacobs will probably play in the NFL, but he's only a two down backer - he'd be a great 3-4 inside backup. The offensive line is obviously strong and that was without big time guard Matt Hunt. Everyone but center Bernardi returns next year - Mathews is set to rush for a ton of yardage. Once again, Fresno's loaded at tailback with Ryan Mathews, Lonyae Miller, Anthony Harding, and Robbie Rouse. Ajirotutu, West, Moore, and Wyle offer tons of speed, but I'm waiting for someone to break out - Aji has the best shot, but Wylie, who recently ran a 4.27, is making the most of his opportunities. QB Ryan Colburn is disappointing. I don't see much out of him - he plays with a ton of heart, but he lacks arm strength and he makes a lot of horrible decisions. I'm ready to see David Carr's younger brother, Derek. I think he'll be the starter by the end of the season.
