“Of course, the pressure that they’re able to get on the quarterback helps any corner in football, but he’s an exceptional player,” said Kubiak. “That’s a matchup that Andre is going to see a bunch. It’s a big challenge for Andre.” cant wait
Hopefully but I doubt it. There's no shame in finishing second to Nmandi Asomugha--he's probably the best cornerback I've ever seen. I like the Jets odds in the Revis/Johnson matchup, by the way. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see an interception or two come from Schaub trying to force one into tight coverage, and it could be the difference in what I expect to be a very close game.
That is a crazy list of WRs to face in one season. Especially Moss and TO twice... Revis is an elite player, I'm not worried about him one damn bit going against those guys and that says alot.
This is Revis' chance to become the #1 CB in the league, if hes up to it. If he passes this test with flying colors, he just may have become the best.
"Once you get that stuff done, it becomes simple. It's a simple game of chess." love that quote. revis gets his hardest matchup out of the way first... hopefully he sees another trip to hawaii this year.
He has been matched against the best ever since he has played with us. I don't see this as earth-shattering news. I am glad he is on the team though.
It'd be cool to have a poll here, but which match-up for Revis scares you the most? T.O. definitely scares me the least. I'm not even sure if Revis will cover T.O. in that game, but it'll be all about pressure. If we can put adequate pressure on Edwards, T.O. vs. Lowery wouldn't even scare me. I'd have to go with Smith or Moss. But then again, we might put Revis on Wlker for those games, and Delhomme may be done.
