Since his opener is in Houston, I have to think there will be alot of Mexican-American followers there. I wonder if there will be a lot of Sanchez fans there to soften the Pro-Texans crowd. I remember whenever Carlos Arroyo would play B-Ball in Orlando, 40% of the stadium was PR cheering for him. Could Sanchez have that effect this soon in his career.?
I doubt it. They could care less about American football in Mexico, whereas baseball is HUGE in Puerto Rico. Not to mention the fact that Sanchez is Mexican in name only. He's just another SoCal kid. Now, when we play games in San Diego or the Bay Area you'll see a ton of USC fans showing up.
Doubt it. I live in a Texas city that has a larger Mexican American population than Houston and nobody here even knows who he is...
