Again another high character guy that we have added.... I guess the Jets'll have to change their name to New York Finest. ( no disrespect meant to any members of the NYPD)
Thats crazy, Clements is nothing more than a backup, and Jones simply cannot play the right side. One of them probably will, unfortunantely, but we should at least scoop up a developmental prospect for the right side... LOVE the Washington pick...
being a hurricane fan and livin in orlando i've seen plenty of fsu games. leon was a beast his junior year, didn't have a good year this past season due to minor injuries and fsu's offensive line being absolutely terrible. good pick consedering where we got him.
I think if CM had it to all over again he would have stood in NE instead of following BP to NY. I'm sure having no rings to look back on when he could have 3 has to bother him. He will never win a ring as a player unless we moved him to a SB contending team which I doubt will occur also.
Personally, I woudl have rthered they grab Calhoun yesterday as opposed to trading down with Philly for an extra 7th. Calhoun is a much better RB propect then Washington, IMO. In fact, with Calhoun on the roster, Blylock could have been cut. I cannot imagine where Washington is going to fit in here. Oh well. I hope it all works out.
give leon a Good oline..and a steady qb. he puts up Great #s . i like calhoun too. but he isnt that much better a prospect than leon.
Yeah, man. I thought about you when we decided to trade down because me and you have been one of the biggest pro-Calhoun posters on the board for the past year or so. That being said, looking at it as a 'neutral', Leon has more of a traditional build for a RB. Hopefully Tangini made the right choice, of course.
If Washington can stay healthy he is going to be a good one two punch with Houston. My roommate is a FSU fan I watched most of their games over the last few years.
I watch a lot of ACC football in general, so I've seen him a ton. I suck at comparisons, I guess you could say something like Tiki, because he's small, but very solidly built at 5-9, 205; he's very well balanced, should be able to help in the pass game as much as the run.
Washington is a really good second string change of pace back. He's small and hard to hit, plus he's a good reciever and has really nice hands. The problem is that he's small and his speed is good but not jaw dropping, so he's a limited player.
Tony I have to disagree with you on this. WIth a better line Leon Blows past Calhoun in terms of talent as a RB. In the Gator Bowl he was the MVP and he is tough as nails and is determined to succeed. Best Comparison Domanic Davis.
Yeah, we had threads about him back during the NCAA season. I still think he'll be a good one, even on the sorry Lions. I'll root for this kid the same as any other Jet. And besides, he has Curtis to mentor him, and that has to count for something.
