It's pretty clear that Tangini gets it....

In one draft they have built an Oline, grabbed a WR, grabbed a guy that can become our franchise QB, and Curtis Martin's replacement.

I was upset with the 3rd round guys but after watching what they have done so far on Day 2 it's clear these guys have a plan and are going to build a winner.

We now have 2 guys that are playmakers and we didn't need to trade up and lose any picks to get them. Edwards and Bradway would have jumped up and given too much to get Bush and these guys stuck to the plan. I love it, it's about time a group of guys with a plan are going to build a winning franchise in New York and it's about time it's the Jets.

Hard to complain with what they have done.. Love the 4th rd picks, the 3rd round picks might haVE been reaches but they do sound like players that we re gonna love to have in a few years.. If Brad Smith is coached right, he might be the steaL of the draft.. and don't be surprised if at some point next season Washington & Houston are the main ball carriers.

With Curtis around to mentor and take the lead job in '06, I think we're set up well on the RB front. Are these guys Reggie Bush? No, but they're solid guys. RB is one position where you can find good talent further down the board.

Oh, you didn't mention that we also picked up a #2 draft pick for 2007 from Washington. Makes this draft even better.

I also have to love what they've done. They are trying to build a solid team; remember, especially playing in the Meadowlands, winning starts with the O-line. They have added some speed and muscle. I think the plan for next year is to have a solid defense and start building the offense, so that, while they won't score loads of points,, they will start becoming a team that wins tough, moderate-low scoring games. Very optimistic about things...

I am still a little dissapointed they passed on Leinart but I do think they have done a good job with the draft. Our O-line should have a solid core for years to come and I like the other picks they made. I especially like the Smith pick even though a lot of others question it. I am not sold on Coleman and Rhodes being our safeties and I think we need to add some toughness to the position.

we might not be a great team next year but i am really getting excited for the furture...

FO is doing a great job and this would have been our best draft ever if we didnt blow the 3rd round

sounds very familiar...reminds me of a certain team in our division.

I'm not sure about the 3rd rounders, but overall I'm very optimistic about this draft too.

Throw in the fact that guys with football knowledge, that do it for a living that played in the league like what we've done and it's pretty clear Tangini show wisdom well beyond their years. Now if Mangini and his staff can coach is another story but certainly the plan is in effect and the foundation has been laid.....

I don't know that they blew the 3rd round, but the jury is certainly out with those players. I'd like to think that the FO knows exactly what they're doing.
