Damn was that fun?! I completely loved the first day of the draft for the Jets. I think we made a HUGE effort to improve our bad oline. Ferguson and Mangold are going to be really good players. I look foward to seeing them next season.

I don't know a wholelot about Clemens, other then he is 6 foot 2 inches tall, 225 pounds, runs pretty good, has good touch and a decent arm...If they took him round 2 they must really think alot of the kid so I look foward to seeing Brian develop him. He reminds me alot of Drew Brees from the clips I have seen of him.

The other two defenders were great picks even though they may have been potentially "reaches"...I like the LB from OS...He seems like a tough ball player that may fit the mold of a Tedy Bruschi...hopefully he and Vilma can become real solid in the middle. Eric Smith from what I can tell is just a smart football player with some athletic ability. Hopefully he can challenge Erik Coleman for the SS job.

As for being at the draft, we got a seat in the forth row of the balcony RIGHT in the middle, so we got to see everything. I was very pleased with where we were seated. I was a little sad about passing on Leinart, but in the end it was probably the right pick to take Ferguson. I loved our draft and overall I would give it a B+...

I hope you all realize how lucky we were to get Mangold at 29. This guy is gonna be the next best thing to Kevin Mawae.

I agree with you on Mangold. I liked the fact they had a camera on him, sitting in his couch just chillin'...Looked like the perfect fit for us, as did DBrick.

Cool Penny sounded like a good time.. I'll have to admit as much as I hated the mocks with DBrick & Mangold in them heading up to the draft. Now that we have them both, I'm pretty excited.. I like the fact that they didn't give in to the pressure of taking Leinart, they just didn't like him enough and I respect that.. Getting Clemens made the draft for me, it was pretty obvious that he was the Qb they wanted all along.. You caN'T go wrong with starting your franchise with a two great OL prospects and a QB you believe can be your future. I'm also happy Leinart went to Arizona, this way I can still root for his success without worrying about him winning championships..
