    We didn't draft Eric Winston...

his name is Eric Smith and he played for Michigan State.

He could be a good one on special teams...

By improving the oline - the Jets improved the rest of their offense. our QBs may have more then 2 seconds in the pocket this year!!!

FYI - i think it was Eric Smith in the 3rd - not Winston but not 100% sure

the question is now does McCarians and jolley actaully make the catches. Does curtis actaully explode through the hole like 2 years ago. or jog through it like last year. and finally can houston get more 10 carries and still be effective cause it seems like after 10 carries are so he wears down.

True - but I think the Jets were never going to be able to fix the offense in a single year. They decided to build from the line outwards - which to me is the right way. JMac looked good 2 years ago at the end of the season - he had started to look like a player - then he dropped off last year but maybe he can regain his edge. Also Coles is still good - and C-Mart while on the downhill slope is a stubborn mofo that should still be a solid option.

Jolley is just a waste of space - not a big fan and Baker might be a solid TE.

I'm not that optimistic about the upcoming year but think this will pay benefits in the years to come.

A huge part of the offense's dysfunctionality last year was the totally inept play on the line. I see the offense as having gained a TD or more per game just by upgrading the LT (Ferguson), RT (Jones), C (Mangold) and LG (Kendall) positions. Now add in Brandon Moore and Trey Teague fighting for the RG job and you have a line that could have new starters at 5 positions compared to what we had at the end of last season. And all 5 starters are at least decent at the position they are pegged at.

Drives should last longer, giving the defense much needed breathers, and more drives should end in points. This is a qualitative upgrade over what we had last year and will show up bigtime in the W-L column.

Our horrible OL was the main reason for our offense letting the defense down. We upgraded that in a big way this weekend.

The team is still going to stink in madden. I can't wait till the 07 draft maybe then we can pick position players that can help this team win games.

I was under the impression that Kassell would play inside in the 3-4?
