Relax, Mangini. Its called fun. its a long season, they are "allowed" to be loose in the first week of september. Plus, Rhodes and Cothcery are good players who have worked hard in this town for a couple of years now, they should get some positive publicity.
Bashing them for doing a skit on a nighttime talk show? You're out of your ****ing mind if you think I'll be bashing them for that. They're making names for themselves off the field? By singing a 30 second song. Please get a grip. Football should not be taken as seriously as you're taking it.
The only one acting stupid here is you. If the team plays poorly, there will be plenty of things to bash them for, but a 30 skit on a tv show is definitely not one of them. If you really think it is, then you really need to take a step back because this is obviously not the sport for you to be following.
I understand it's fun, but if you are like Kerry Rhodes and talking crap that this is going to be the best defense in the NFL and you are as a unit under performing that you made the Giants no name receivers look spectacular last week, you should try to be getting better as a unit. But i guess being funny on late night is a way to do it
If there is any bashing it will be based on performance, not because they sang karaoke on a talk show. Do you have a clue?
That was great fun. I think as far as being a young, exciting team they couldn't have picked a better 3 to represent us. (Sanchez would have been too obvious)
Keller, Cotch and Rhodes Do Karaoke Lol, some funny stuff http://www.thejetsblog.com/2009/09/02/film-jets-on-late-night/ Keller has some decent pipes edit: sorry didn't see this posted elsewhere. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=47776
He can sing, but didn't he seem smaller to you than you thought he'd be? That's what I thought when I saw him. No wonder he's struggling as a blocker.
Yeah I mean what is Kerry Rhodes doing not practicing at 6:00 in the evening (the show is taped from 5:30 - 6:30PM). He should be practicing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make sure we win a Super Bowl.
Ok, since you are a ignorant person i will simply sum this up to you in the simplest terms i can. It is ok to have fun. It is okay to not have football control your life. It would be nice if you didn't go in front of a national tv audience and do it. You see in life, people can have fun anywhere away from TV Cameras. They play in a market that is very critical of everyone and that pressures you in whatever you do on and off the field. Your First Year head coach is already getting himself killed because of the fact that he is talking a lot. Same goes for Kerry Rhodes. He says We are going to be the best defense in the NFL. That is fine. But if it all goes bad, this is one of many things they can throw on Rhodes and even on Ryan during the year. You can have fun, but remember the more you draw attention to yourself, the harder the critics can become.
You're still making something out of nothing. Will critics mention it? Sure, but nothing more than a fleeting note Around The Horn style. What the hell does it even matter what they are going to throw on them that isn't based on their performance? You're arguing about pointless criticism which may or may not happen, while most people here don't even give a damn about what writers have to say anyway.
The only thing of Jimmy Fallon that i will ever watch is the Cowbell Skit with Christopher Walken on SNL.
Man, I didn't read Albert's posts. You think the fact that they went on a TV show for 10 minutes and sang a song will be the reason they aren't doing well? What the fuck kind of thinking is that?
