No surprise the Jets are road dogs, but +5?

    And the O/U is 43.

Still 2 weeks out, but if Schaub is hurt, that line is going to drop.

In effect it means that Houston would be a 2-point favorite at a neutral site.

    Sounds about right to me.

I'm having some of that. +5. Good start to the season. Jets odds will steadily fall so grab some on this game and the Pats game home opener.

with no Pace and Ellis, there's a chance the Jets lose by a full score. So +5 is something to make money on.

If Schaub is hurt and Orlovsky plays, go with the Jets.

That 43 is an over if Schaub is healthy too.

In theory, go with the Jets. But we tend to let every backup look like Montana (Cassel, Thigpen from last year).

Rookie QB, starting Week 1 with a new coach on the road, (+5) seems nice.

Give me all the points they want..It's the only "heart" bet I make. I can never root against the Jets, so I always take them( or lay off).

Take the Under all damn year long!!!!!

I can't believ it is #5, even considering they get 3 pts for being home team.

The odd makers still aren't sold on Sanchez.

I think the under is the play. If the Jets do well on offense, they drain the clock and take points away from Houston. If the Jets do bad on offense... Houston will gain a sizable lead and run the clock out.

Houston is a solid team. As someone else pointed out, you guys are starting a rookie at QB for this one.

    The line seems about right.

The line is right, but putting my heart aside I would still take the points. It was shown on Monday Night against the Vikings that Houston really has trouble stopping the run. Even though our passing game will not concern them, and they will stack eight in the box I still don't see the Jets having any problems running. Houston is already thin at DT especially when they traded Travis Johnson their NT. Okoye hasn't shown that he is a big time interior presence on a consistent basis. I think the key is can the defense hold up. Personally, i don't believe the Texans are the real deal. We go through this every year with them, they are the sleeper team, but never seem to get off to a good start. They are on the rise, but they need another probowl player on defense and schaub to stay healthy before they can really become a legit playoff contender.

No shocker in my opinion, away game, rookie qb in his first start, brand new head coach, new defense, it makes sense.
