The Jets haven't "ruined" Clemens. Clemens had numerous chances to be the Jets starting qb, both now and prior to this year.

When the Jets drafted him, they thought they had found a 'sleeper.' It just didn't turn out that way. Clemens never lived up to his potential.

He's not happy he's a back-up, but that's probably all he will ever be.

Your fonts look like they are in Arabic to me.

BTW, it's not going to take 3 years to tell if Sanchez is a franchise QB or if he's a bust. We'll know that by mid-season of 2010 at the latest.

wellsaid and I do agree with you. I see these same Jets fans fans turning on him very quickly. These same people will be calling for Clemens as soon as the kid stumbles a bit. IMO Ainge played better then both Sanchez and Clemens.

OK I too have been suffering for plus 40 years. Clemens: Happy Feet, dancing around behind the o-line, fluttering balls waving in the wind, Int's beyond reality. This guy has had EVERY OP to prove himself, but has failed at each and every chance. Question: would You have felt confident if we hadnt DRAFTED Sanchez with Clemens and Ainge on this team?!? This team is Not going to the SB this year, but is Very poised to make a run next year sans for a good draft and a few more player pickups. look at the teams we play this year! With Joe himself or even the second coming of Montana, we wouldnt get to the playoffs. Again, I too have suffered for 40 plus years, Richard Todd, Matt Robinson, Neil O' Donnell, can go on and on. Flaco made it ok last year, I am putting my Jets tickets on the fact that Ryan see's something in Mark. Probabaly wrong yet again with hope, but I am looking for a CHANGE for us as a team to be very good for several years vrs. the up/down Roller Coaster ride we have come to expect.

While Kellen is never going to amount to anything special he has shown that he is all class. Of course he is seething that he lost the job ... who wouldn't? The fact that he has shown not just this year but his entire career he is a class act. Honestly I'd like to see him down the road get a shot somewhere else and go on to have a successful career in say a place like Seattle, Detroit or San Francisco. I've always liked the guy and wanted him to do well but it's clear at this point he isn't at least with the Jets ever going to be a starter.

Players prove themselves in games not on the practice field. I'm not as high on Clemens as I once was but your opinion of him is incredibly jaded. He didn't play exceptionally, but you can't honestly believe those QB competitions weren't just a little biased.. He didn't stand a chance against Pennington, Favre wasn't in a competition and Sanchez was pretty well anointed the minute he was drafted. And yes I would have felt at least as confident as I do now about our chances this season if Sanchez wasn't drafted and Clemens was named starter. He'll be gone after this season anyway and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he wound up a decent starter somewhere.

And why do so many Jets' fans bitch about our QB history? We might not have had the best team on the field but when it comes to QBs, we've had it pretty good compared to a lot of teams.

the Jets have never truly had complete shit at QB for a long duration of time.

its been the coaching that has been downright fucking terrible.

You can't have four years in a system be equal to or slightly better than a rookie. You just can't.
