For what it's worth, the NFL network analysts are LAUDING the Jets for both building from 'the inside out' and taking Clemmons, whom they apparently ADORE.
Admittedly, I liked the Karmac idea of Croyle, but after seeing how excited the professionals are across the board, I'm more than happy to give this QB the benefit of the doubt. So in summation, they essentially got the QB they wanted AND got an extra 2 rounder next year in the process. Not too shabby.
ESPN and NFL Network have been praising the Jets like crazy today. First time that's happened, I would imagine.
I will be the first to admit that I do not know that much about Croyle, but he looks really skinny. Can he take a beating? We already have a quarterback who can't take a big hit. I am just glad we didn't pick Croyle.
Makes you wonder what people on this board are thinking. I've never seen so much negativity. The need for some people for the Jets to make a sexy, exciting but risky pick of a skill player over solid foundation type players that will anchor the team for a decade amazes me. I thought Jet fans were supposed to be knowledgeable. This FO has done a great job so far and its only the 2nd round. I, for one, am thrilled.
Clemens could turn out great. He has everything you look for in a franchise QB: smarts, mobility, a good arm, great accuracy, and leadership. If he wouldn't have gotten hurt last year, he could've very well challenged Jay Cutler for the 3rd QB taken.
Can someone please tell me the last Jets QB drafted after Rd 1 to actually produce in my lifetime? Thats the upsetting thing, you know this guy won't be good. If you think he is your just dreaming. Been a fan for way too long and the New F.O. screwed up again. The OL were there at 35. Another year w/out a playmaker. At least we'll guarantee ourselves a top 10 pick next year.
It would seem that whatever you think about the 3 picks so far, 1 think is sure.. all 3 will be solid pros from what all the salaried experts are saying. I like that..
I hate hearing that word "playmaker." It's the most over used word on this board. We got 3 good players out of 3 picks, whether you call them playmakers or not is up to you...
Get a clue dude!!!It's been 38 years since a rd 1 QB did anything for us!!! Now we have a OL that can stop a D from killing any QB we put under center!
how about if we call the first 2 ... "unplaymakers" as they will go out and nuetralize the "playmakers"
Lets see..your profile says you are 35 years old and your interests are PORN. Yea, you're the guy I am going to rely on for mature jusdgements.
