Is it me, or does Ainge look great tonight? I was afraid that we would not have 1 QB. I am starting to think we might have 3.
awful is a little mean, but he looks pedestrian. he overthew Davis on an easy out route. he's going against players that won't make the Rams roster. He's a 3rd string QB.
Well he wasn't up against starters...you have to remember that. This makes no sense Mick. He was fine for a backup.
 i thought he was fine today, i didn't see the play to Clowney but judging by the reactions in the game thread it was mad nice
I beg to differ: He was very rusty early on, but then as he settled down, he started looking better and better. (IMO) That overthrowing part is first from the lack of live action, and second, I'd like to see my QB overthrowing than underthrowing - underthrown balls are usually picked off. Seriously though, I was expecting a lot more than this from this kid. I mean, he was rarely sacked in his UT days. Getting sacked, then losing the ball is very unlike how he usually is/was. I was expecting a starting QB material from this kid, given about 2 to 3 years (during which Clemens can hold the fort) From the way it looks now, he's forever etched in the 3rd string stone.
That play was easy....the rest of it, I thought he looked pretty good....given that it was against third stringers.
C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT Erik Ainge 10/16 148 9.3 1 0 I thought he looked good. Better than I thought he would. I think he will be a nice 3rd QB that can develop into a good back-up in a year or two. I would have liked to see Hardvard play, tho
i always thought ainge has a chance to be a solid number 2 in this league if not one day a starter. he is one of those qbs that is a long time project that should sit behind a great qb for a few year. kinda like a matt schaub or jim sorgi
