Everyone knew that the Vikings probably would have taken Croyle. Dammit. The reason they traded up for Clemens is because?

Not sure if I'd have made this move. Jet's effectively gave up 3 players to get the QB of their choice. I need to see Clemens as clearly better than the alternatives for this to make sense. At the moment I don't.

How do you know who Minn was going to take. Who are your connections??? You can never be sure of anything. Just like Leinart was going top 5. right.

Maybe they wanted to go home early tommorow. Now they can leave after the 5th round.

The more picks they trade away, the less work they have to do. lazy bums.

I'm not sure of anything, and I don't have any connections. But it made much much much more sense, common sense, for the Vikings to take Croyle and even if they didn't Croyle wouldn't be a bad pick. Instead we give up picks.

    49 for 53, 189 and 211.

I want my roster depth dammit.

Then again I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until I see how Clemens shows up for us.

    A 6th and a 7th?? Not a steep price to pay.

and the reason Croyle to the Vikings was a given is.... also if you are sure that Clemens is your QB of the future you surely don't let a 6th and 7th rounder get in the way.

Jaws loves him. Just compared him to Tom Brady.

basically i can sum it up easier in terms of what we did

we dropped from 35 to 49 to draft clemmens, and picked up a second rounder next year to do so (while really only losing a 7th rounder...yeah pretty good draft manuevering)

i like the picks so far, i just don't know why they traded up. Minnesota didn't even take a QB.

Perhaps it was Clemens they were after.
