Yeah Brooks is gone. Someone will pick him up and turn him into their #2, possibly the Vikings as they haven't drafted a QB yet. He has NFL expierience now so he'll probably go somewhere and be a #2.
He did an admirable job filling in as the third stringer, but we don't need his services anymore. I doubt we'd ever see another QB injury fiasco like last season, so you'd have to believe Penny and Ramsey can carry us through the season. Clemens should replace him as the 3rd stringer, and ultimately become our QB of the future if everything works out.
I agree. If something happens to Pennington or Ramsey this season (which judging from recent history will be "when" not "if") I hope that Bollinger is the first to get the call (if he can't find another team, of course.) He's never gonna be a starter in the NFL but he's a good backup.
To everyone that says Brooks is gone, I say this means that only one spot is safe (Clemens) and everybody else is in a competition for the other 2 spots. This new staff won't play favorites or keep guys based on where they were drafted originally over what they can do for you. That was the old administration.
Good thing i scrolled,i was about to create a thread asking the same. F-that. I'd rather have Brooks than Ramsey. Ramsey sucks
Could not agree more. Despite the hatred for Brook here, which I do not understand I think camp will be an open competition. I am not sure Brooks will lose out in that against Penny and Ramsey. We will have to wait and see.
They won't play favorites, but they aren't going to disregard a players financial situation with the team. With that said, Penny unfortunately isn't going anywhere and it is unlikely that we would cut Ramsey after just signing him.
