Tek needs more rest than he is getting. He always falls off a cliff at this point during the season. Kotchman should be getting a lot of time against righties with Lowell at DH and V-Mart behind the plate since Tek sucks hitting as a lefty anyways.

I can think of at least two threads this should have been put in before a new thread was made.

Yeah, I could see that working too, but if they were going to do that they should have kept LaRoche.

he would've fetched a nice compensation at the end of the year too. with kotchman we have a reliable defense set, which gets the ailing lowell out of there.

First of all, I'm not your "bro". Secondly, it belongs either in the game thread or the Around the League thread. You cause enough pollution in the other forums, don't yellow Jeep this one to death too.

Kotchman has put up some nice numbers against RHP this year and has a very good glove. He's also only 26 and put up an 839 ops in '07 with Anaheim. If he stays the way he is, hes a good bench player, and if he develops some more power over the next few years he could be a very valuable starter.

it would be fantastic if he could break out next year at the ripe age of 27. who knows, he could play 1st with vmart behind the dish and DH other times. and play late inning D of course.

Hopefully forever. And as bad as rain delays are, domes are a million times worse.

Another 20-30 years minimum I think. Buying new land and building a new stadium would be fucking expensive and would make this franchise a lot less special to a lot of people- myself included. The new stadium would never be as popular or profitable as Fenway anyways, and the current ownership gets that.
