Yes. Both home games, 8/14 against the Rams and 9/3 against the Eagles are on CBS. The Ravens road game on 8/24 is on ESPN and the Giants "road game" on 8/29 is on NBC.
You can only hope. NYJ offices are blitzing season ticket holders with phone calls this week letting us know there are and I will quote the guy from my phone call today...... "a significant number of season ticket cancellations in my section (302) for the coming season. Should I want to buy any more tickets anywhere from 2 to 5 tickets the NYJ will provide for a 20% discount for the new purchases"...... I asked some questions about how this would effect me for 2010 and they advised if there were non-PSL seats available the $500 DEPOSIT WOULD NOT BE CHARGED." There will be a boat load of tickets available this year.......and next!! I'd love to know how the NFL would cope with having the games in there #1 market blacked out becuase of poor ticket sales.
Good question. When I was a kid we were regularly blacked out at Shea up until mid 1978 and they just showed a different game to the NY market. Of course that was a generation and about 5 or 6 TV contracts ago, but there is still a precedent. Either way there will still be Jet games, if they don't sell out those of us that are local can go see them without dropping down $20 Gs or whatever, which is the only reason I was going to stop going to the home games in the first place.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure NFLN will show every pre-season game eventually. For the out of market people that's good news.
While I am not usually glued to pre-season games on tv, I have to agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly. Fuckin A.
