Although, it's still early in camp...i'm slowly getting on board with this. KC's excuse of not having a healthy oline may just end up being a "mask" to hide the fact that he REALLY doesn't possess the skillset to be a starting QB in this league. I'll reserve judgement till the end of preseason.....because really....KC is practicing against a Pettine/Ryan led defense...so maybe some slack is warranted.......but he should be outshining Sanchez....and he's not...up until this point anyway. The time for excuses is done, IMO. KC has been in SChotty's system long enough that this kind of play shouldn't be happening.
And that's sad really........I was hoping....and still hoping for that matter....that Clemens turns the corner.
....even if it meant we could get something for him in a trade if needed. Never been a KC fan, but have wanted him to do well though.
I'd rather hear Clemens struggling than Sanchez. Clemens struggling is no surprise, but Sanchez not making big mistakes early in camp is encouraging.
Of course that's great to hear......it just reinforces the decision to trade up and draft a potential "franchise" QB that much more crucial. Because if the FO didn't go that route......look what we would've been potentially stuck with. Didn't we trade up to get Clemens in the 2nd round too?
