Isn't it funny that Robert Gallery graded out the highest ever for an OL, and there was talk of him being the 1st pick, and this guy got moved from tackle to guard. There are no guarentees anywhere, like I said this kid better be Ogden, Pace, and Walter Jones rolled into one, and pencil him into 10 Pro Bowls, or else this day will live in infamy.
Pardon me for forgetting the S. The O line is compiled by FIVE guys not one. You are saying O pace got them soley to the SB. WRONG!
AND Pace. Speaking of Faulk, ask him what he thinks of Orlando Pace. Hell, ask Warner too while you're at it. If you think either of those guys would have done what they did without Pace there you're crazy.
I don't have as much a problem with taking an OT as much as I do with taking D'Brick. I'm not sure he can be as dominant as Pace, Jones, etc. and this still leaves us with a hole at RT. Oh well, he is our selection, and I will be rooting for him to be worth it.
Decade???? I don't have a decade, I will die in the next two or three years without ever seeing my team win a SB
You will see where the Jets end up this season. They will be in the cellar. They should not have hired an inexperienced coach.
By the time the players the Jets draft today get around to be good are other good players will be retired by then. It will be an endless cycle. As I said I have been a fan since '85 and have seen it all with the Jets.
And you think Bush would have changed that? Who's blocking for him? I'm not going to sit here and act like I prefered Brick because I didn't. I wanted Bush badly, but let's not act like he would have been the difference between us winning or losing this year. We need a ton of help, and trading away your entire first day, as well as next year's first would have been moronic.
I did not want Bush, he wanted too much money. I wanted a FRANCHISE QB or trade down to compile more picks.
Saints wanted too much for bush, i agree its not worth the picks N.O. wanted. we can still get a hell of a RB
Who were we trading down with? Please tell me. The only player left who was worth trading up for was Leinart, and you saw how that played out. As for the franchise QB deal, that's your own opinion. You think he's going to be a franchise QB. Just because they didn't do what you wanted, doesn't mean it was a bad move.
this is absolutely true. the guys drafted after our pick prove that there wasnt too much interest in trading up. nobody needed to move to get what they wanted. i highly doubt that during the 9+ minutes we were on the clock that we werent on the phones trying to get a trade done. obviously nobody wanted to trade up when they could have gotten what they wanted staying pat.
