would you rather have an exciting draft and lose for the next 5 years or a boring draft and field a winning team?
You have the chance to trade and get the Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Derek Jeter i.e. Reggie Bush, sorry but this day is not a success.
You don't know Reggie Bush isn't a sure thing, just like you don't know D'Brick is a bust. Bush could be out of the league in a year.
i was sitting here begging for a trade down when we were on the clock. and im sure the jets fo used 9 of those minutes to explore what people were willing to give up, i also dont think anyone was going to give us equal worth for the pick. and to trade out of 4 i would want better than equal value. so all in all i think they really did a good job, its not like they jumped up when it was our selection and made the pick, its not like they didnt attempt to move up with the aints, fact of the matter appears to be that they werent willing to sacrifice the next 2 years first rounds + in order to get a guy who i personally feel will not be a game changer in the nfl. (bush)
Right on, brother. Anyone who watched all 16 games last year should have seen that when your O-line is a POS, it doesn't matter who plays QB or RB or WR or TE. You are quickly going nowhere. If you want to question whether D'Brick is the man, we'll see in time. But you can't question the strategy to move us forward.
They picked 2nd. Seattle, Baltimore, and St. Louis all got to the Superbowl behind elite LTs, in the same mold of the guy we just drafted. Yeah I wanted Leinart but we still made a solid pick.
...because guys like Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace, and Walter Jones were such meaningless players, right?
NO wanted to much for him plus I don't think they really wanted to trade the pick!! That pick will but fans in their stands & they need them after all the crap they've been through as a city. You don't know what we offered and we've could've offered alot and still got turned down.:shit:
