NFL Network Set To Air Every Preseason Game
    Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Last year the NFL Network aired 53 preseason games throughout the Summer, but this year they're amping it up a bit. In fact, the league's channel will be airing every single game at some point during the month of August, and will include all 11 nationally televised games. Via NFL-N PR....

NFL Network is home to all the NFL preseason games for the first time with 65 games airing on the only network dedicated entirely to football. In addition for the first time, the entire NFL preseason schedule will be seen in high definition nationally including 12 live preseason games, the most in the network?s history.

Week 1 of the 2009 NFL preseason on NFL Network features five live games highlighted by the debuts of first-round quarterback draft picks MATTHEW STAFFORD and MARK SANCHEZ. The live coverage kicks off with a doubleheader on Friday, August 14 at 8:00 PM ET with the St. Louis Rams vs. New York Jets, followed by Denver Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers. Saturday, August 15 features the first-ever live tripleheader with the Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions beginning at 4:00 PM ET, followed immediately by Chicago Bears vs. Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks vs. San Diego Chargers.

There?s no better place for Fantasy Football fans to prepare their picks and depth charts for the 2009 regular season than with NFL Network and NFL.com?s all-encompassing coverage of the 2009 preseason. All 12 live preseason games will include halftime shows featuring NFL Network?s team of analysts from its Los Angeles studios and five-minute NFL Network Now updates between game broadcasts reporting the most up-to-date news and information. NFL Network?s schedule includes a total of 162 telecasts as it includes every game, live games and game replays of all the preseason action.
I'm so stoked that Comcast and the NFL Network worked out that deal to keep the channel on their programming. Get your calendars out folks, because here is the entire list of games, and times that they're being aired (*- indicated live telecast on NFL-N)! Many thanks to Ken at Fang's Bites for the release....

the nfl network is really trying hard to make themselves relevant. showing every preseason game and a bunch live doesnt make me want to spend money every month for that pos network.

sorry nfl network you arent going to get a deal like espn, please stop pissing people off while still not understanding your place in the world.

ill give them credit for the amount of hd games, it shows they are determined... but also makes me wonder wtf else they are planning, thats telling me they have setups for 3 games a week which i doubt they will get the gear to 3 different stadiums every week. they only do so many thursday night games a year and never have 2 in the same week.... or is that in their plans in the near future?

I love NFL Network, but hate direct TV. I wish time warner had it. I'm especially bummed now that they're finally showing all the preseason games.

    Piece of shit network?

Sure, they show repeated stuff during non-peak hours, but if you love football 24/7, it's a great channel. Football follies, America's Game, NFL Replay with post-game comments lined up with particular plays, Total Access- a live NFL news show every day that runs unique features and coach interviews all season and off-season, Path to the Draft, fantasy football programming.....not everyone wants that much football but if you're that into it, the channel is anything but shitty.

Not only all that, but it's the channel the players love most. They have different guys live in studio each week, both young, lesser known player and superstars. You get to see a different side of these guys, it's great.

Time Warner is a total POS, begining with service and ending with coverage. Direct TV rules, outstanding service, free NFL network and and only source for all NFL HDTV coverage. NFL network is the bomb when it comes to pre-season and revisiting all the games during the week.

With the only real alternative being ESPN, which i hate and don't watch anymore due to their pathetic and agenda-driven reports of the NFL, I find that NFL Network is pretty good. It's far from what I would call a 'great' channel, but they balance their coverage of teams around the NFL. You are guaranteed coverage of the Jets, instead of Jets news being relegated to a half a sentence of the sports ticker - I remember DVRing tons of ESPN NFL Live turd shows just to hear a mere mention of Jets news once every 50 or so episodes. ESPN is pathetic and I'm glad NFLN edges them out of the meaty headlines most of the time. It's fun to watch them fall flat on their faces. I hate ABC.

Jtuds is right on the money with this one.

Plus, being that I don't live in the area, this will be the first time in almost a decade where I will be able to see all of the preseason games. I think that's awesome.

That's just too many games. I tried to watch every pre-season game the last couple of season, but I couldn't even drive myself to do that. I would fall asleep when they would show Divisional teams real late at night. Now that I have a DVR tho, that shouldn't be a problem.

We're less than a month away from pre-season games and that ain't bad.

I am afraid of the NFL Network. Perhaps someday only pay per view game will be shown.

The NFL Network is great to have in the off season with total access which is good but could be better but the regular season shows are awesome. Who says it sucks must have cablevision. Verizon rules. We are gonna hopefully get the red zone channel which will make my day, betcha cablevision subscribers don't get that option

DITTO. Sorry if I have lot's of stuff quoted. Love NFL Network & I have the JETS going to be practicing 15 mins. away from me 7-10 days from now. If you don't like the channel that probably means you have a favotite MLB or NBA team. Which I do not. I AM a JETS FAN and NO OTHER TEAMS/SPORTS. So, I love the network.

This is a good move by the NFL network, it makes it more desirable, since right now I have basically NO DESIRE at all to pay for the channel. On the occasions where there's a game on the NFL network that I want to see, I just head to a local sports bar... no big deal. Hell I'd probably be there anyway. That being said, I still can't justify paying for that channel.

I would not pay just to watch the Thursday night regular season games or the pre-seasons, but I would pay just for the off season and in seasons football shows, especially off season, it gets me through the long months of nothing but whinning Mets fans, that plus NFL Sirius.

I agree with you a 100%. I will never do business with DirectScum TV ever again. They pulled the same crap on me. I was a subscriber for at least 4 years and only wanted the NFL ticket because of the monopoly they have, but was forced to pay for a standard service. I dropped them and decided to watch the games in the sports bars instead.

I just wish Time Warner would offer the NFL Network. Oh well.

Did you ever get a reply from DirectScum, or any of the others you sent the letter to?
