The Saints can't have two 50 mil running backs on their roster. There choice is draft another player at 2 or make a deal. Making a deal makes more sense since they will still probably get a player they want if they deal with the Jets, Packers, or Niners plus they will get extra draft picks.

The Jets should stay put with whatever offer they are comfortable with.

you never draft based on how much money you have tied up in a position

Maybe in the pre-salary cap days that was true. But now you have to be able to sign other players and make your team balanced and competetive.

    BTW: Maiden rules!

All this talk now leaking out about how NO is leaning towards taking Bush is just the Saints people trying to get teams like the Jets to pick up the phone and make a trade offer... I wouldn't be shocked if the Saints just took somebody else with that pick.
