Even though the season is apparently already over, and the Yanks will obviously get swept, I thought some people might want to talk about these upcoming consolation games between the Yanks and Braves. Tuesday Some Asian guy who sucks vs. The next Cy Young, Tommy Hanson Wednesday The guy who should be setting up Mo vs. Some Asian guy who will two-hit the Yanks Thursday A washed up lefty vs. The guy who clinched the 2004 ALCS vs. the Yanks
Hahahaha well written Cappy. I actually love Pettitte's chances in Turner Thursday. He's done very well away from the stadium.
And just to clarify I made a point to say the season isn't over. But Girardi does things that frustrate and I think this team needs an arm by the deadline to put in the pen. I'll take Joe Beimel. I'd love for the Rockies to fall back off the map so Street is out there. Say whatever you want about Marte coming back giving another arm, but he's sucked since he was put in a Yankee uniform.
"Some Asian guy who sucks"...Hahahaha. Good stuff Cappy. Let's hope this is when they start turning it around and go on a nice little win-streak.
What is more frustrating than anything is the fact that they keep losing to these inferior teams and there is no good reason for it. For the record, Hughes should be starting, he did not deserve to be pushed out of the rotation, much less pushed out for Wang given the way he's pitched. Either use a 6 man rotation or send Wang to the DL to fix the problems he's having
Yup Yup. And that's the game I'll be at (Thursday Night). I haven't been to turner in forever, there will be some horrific swearing the likes of which Atlanta fans have never heard (since my last trip there). $
At least this time their finally running up pitch counts against a young pitcher, instead of hacking like they can't wait to end the game.
CMW looked the best he has this season in the first. Only 6 pitches and 3 ground balls. The sinker looked like it had good sink, can't ask for much more out of the first inning; hopefully he can keep it up.
oh my god posada what the hell was that? Throwing from your knees? As soon as he threw it i knew it was gonna be high.
Posada's throw made no sense because it wasn't going to be close at second. A very stupid decision, and a poor throw. Cano's single happened because Chipper was playing in at third.
