I was looking at this one: http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDraft/Draft+Insider/2004/TradeValue.htm which one is right??
Texans | Talks with M. Williams heating up Fri, 28 Apr 2006 14:40:47 -0700 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports talks between the Houston Texans and North Carolina State DE Mario Williams are heating up. The Texans are now offering more than the money paid to QB Alex D. Smith, the first pick in last year's NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Williams might feel comfortable accepting the offer to become the first pick in this weekend's NFL Draft.
Not sure. I don't know where the one I posted came from, but it seems more realistic based on what they were saying we'd need to give up to get the #1 pick last week. I think each team has their own adjusted version of the chart though anyway.
Some will disagree but I would do that in a second. We'd still have 4 first day picks, a high second and two thirds, plus we'd have the Herm-Chiefs 4th so we'd still be in good shape, and we'd have the best football player in the draft by far.
People are forgetting that the guy the Saints want is Hawk. The Sainst can't trade with San Fran because Green Bay picks before them and the Packers will take Hawk. This gives the Jets the leverage over San Fran. The 49ers might be able to offer the #6 and #22 but that's it as they have no 2nd or 3rd rounder thanks to deals with Denver.
Reggie Bush trains and works out with LaDanian Tomlinson here in SD in the offseason. The guy has been mentored by the best. He has LT's work ethic. He will not be a bust.
Can you imagine??? There's been a trade, the New York Jets have traded pick #4 overall, pick number #29 overall and pick #103 to the Saints for the #2 pick overall. With that pick, the New Jets select Reggie Bush, Running Back USC.
Pass. I'm only interested in Bush if he falls on our lap. Also, you guys are putting way too much stock into this rumor. What's the number one rule to consider a week prior to the draft? All GM's are lying cheating bastards. The Texans are probably just trying to get Bush to lower his demands and agree to terms before tomorrow. By sending signals out to media outlets saying they are close to signing Mario.
The crowd would go CRAZY!!!!!!!! :breakdance: If Bush doesn't go #1 I'm going to be on my hands and knees while the Saints and Titans are on the clock praying Bush falls.
He'll be gone by then. If the Saints don't take him they'll make sure they trade down and get a bunch of picks for him. JMO
there's no way the Saints OR Titans pass on Bush, is there? who's the Titans' starting RB, Chris Brown?
I don't know, they wouldn't want to trade down too far or they wouldn't get Brick or Hawk. They might stay at 2 and assure they get one of those players.
profootballtalk.com is one of the least credible sites out there... im no saying its 100% false, but dont believe everything you see
I think Tangini would seriously consider a trade up to #2. The top 3 QB's in this draft are weak IMHO, but Reggie is a guy that can start to build their empire around. My heart will be in my throat if the Texans take Williams.
