Did anybody else see D'Brick on Quite Frankly last night? I was not impressed with his fire or excitement almost came off as *SOFT*..I know it was just a talk show but he was not exciting as all..Kinda like if we draft him at 4...Not exciting at all but a steady pick..

What did you want him to do, start a fight with Steve Smith or eat someone in the crowd or something?

A lot of good zingers today. I think we can all agree this pre-draft speculation stuff has been beaten like a dead horse already. Let the draft begin....

He was actually well spoken and pretty intelligent, sounded like a Mangini kind of guy.

As opposed to a half-wit with a speech impediment? Who's kind of guy would that be? I don't know about you guys but this draft has been beaten into the ground far worse than any draft I can ever remember. Jets fans must be ready to explode at this point. I bet there isn't a fan base anywhere in the country that knows more about this year's prospects than those in Gang Green land. As a Patriots fan, my worst fear is that the Jets get Matt Leinart. Although it would lead to a nice Brady/Leinart rivalry, I'd rather not have to deal with a potential great QB in the division. Leinart is a poised winner with a strong head on his shoulders. If you read the knocks on Brady coming out of college, they were far worse than the knocks on Leinart.

Great post. I couldn't agree more. The speculation is totally out of control. You're right about Leinart/Brady. Brady was a damn good college QB who flew under the radar partly because Lloyd Carr started benching him to give "Golden Boy" Drew Henson playing time. Brady was projected as no better than a 6th round pick in that draft. If Leinart came out last year, he's the consensus #1 pick. Now a year later, everyone's trying to dig for something not to like about him. I hope to God that Tennessee picks him because if they don't I have a feeling that the Jets will pass on him and we'll be tortured with regret for the next 10+ years!!!

haha, I just pictured D'Brick going crazy at Steven A. Smith and Smith running for his life and D'Brick letting out a loud "ROAR!!!!" then Brick going into the stands and eating some helpless lady. D'Brick acting like King Kong was the thing that came to mind when I read your post and I laughed out loud, so thanks for that.

He sounded like a good character person and a smart guy. He would be a great pick for us.

Sean in Titletown, you are so right dude, we all know that every single football player out there has an amazing intellect and would never do something to disgrace their team or sport. The Jets would be foolish to even take these things into consideration. And of course, no NFL team ever drafts half-wits or malcontents. Nothing but upstanding citizens in our league who major in bio-chemistry.

Your description has me cracking up. The guy who seriously responded with "No I don't expect him to eat someone" also had me rolling.
