Why should this years draft be any different than anyother year? For years we have blown draft pick after draft pick.We have always picked the wrong guy with a few exceptions. No big deal another day as a NY JETS fan.Drink beer watch football and complain about who we picked.

Let's wait until something happens until we call it a letdown.

you know it's going to happen. it's called being a Jet fan.

but yeah, you can wait for Tann. to fu-k up first before you crucify him...guess that's fair

The difference hopefully is that we will make intelligent and quality picks. You cannot help making bad picks. Most players will be busts but you can help yourself from making reaches, wasting picks trading up, and drafting players far to early. Jeff Lageman is a great example. He was a very good player the Jets drafted in the 1st round. The problem was he projected to go in the 4th round. There was absolutely no reason to waste a 1st round draft pick on him. Unfortuntaely it was a typical Hickey move of falling in love with a player and taking him far to early.

The point is I care more about the decison making that goes into making the picks than the actual outcome. Inteligent logical, strategic decions are waht matters not the actual outcome. You cannot control luck but you can make sure you make the best decisons.

For the most part I liked Bradway's drafts they were a big upgrade over Parcell's. But I didn't like his philosphy of moving up and paying above market value to move up. I hope the new regime will go with the philosphy that more picks is better and work to accumulate draft picks and work to take the BPA often ignoring need.

It's like that thing Jim Rome said a few years back, the only garantee on draft day is that Jets Fans will boo whoever they pick.

I've enjoyed that last 2 years.

2004 - Vilma, Strait, Cotchery, Coleman, Jones
2005 - Nuggent, Miller, Rhodes, Houston

2002 and 2003 were train wrecks, but let the past be the past.

I didn't enjoy last year.... Trading anything for Jolley is assinine and we had Offensive Tackles fallinto out lap and took a kicker.

NOW.. we NEED an Offensive tackle... Imagine that??????? Freaking dumb butt Bradway.

Right off the bat I HATED trading up for Moss... HATED it.

Give the new regime chance at least. By the reads of the thousands of threads regarding this subject, not everyone will be pleased anyway. Lets see what happens and then let the knives be thrown. Hopefully the consensus will be that we had a smart, well thought out draft.
