Clearly the guy has some issues... but he is young, and CAN produce. The only question is, can he get his head straight?

I would say that you can do a 1 year deal, minimum salary, or something very cheap, with a very protected contract and who knows, the guy could be one of those 180 degree stories and if not, dump his arse...

    Thoughts?

Williams, Matt Jones, and Plaxico would be a formidable trio (sarcasm intended).

Well at least R. Williams had one 10 TD season... and I think M. Jones is also a repeat offender with the cocaine thing.

no more taking a chance... these aren't diamond in the rough kind of guys.. he had a good one year, but its obvious that he's too much of a head case to make it happen again

I agree. This would be more of a waste of time than it would be worth. He had loads of potential coming out of college but has not lived up to it.

no thanks. 37 receptions for 364 yards and three touchdowns last season, doesn't sound like enough production for the risks.

For the small amount of money he would be well worth it.

Given his track record and bust label he would come cheap... he's a guy you bring into camp and see what he can do and if he turns out to be garbage...... bon voyage.

QFE! Worst thing that could happen is he doesn't mesh well in camp and we send him packing. We haven't got a lot to lose at the WR position. Don't get me wrong, I like J-Co and Clowney, but getting some proven talent with good speed would be hard to argue with.

EDIT: Worst thing that could happen is he comes to practice guns blazing and lights people up... but, highly unlikely...

I forget when it was, either in his last year of NCAA fb or around the time he was being drafted, but I'm pretty sure I remember him claiming he was better than Fitz. Hah.

That being said I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him, granted it were for cheap and that we'd cut his ass should he be fucking up.

Yep he really does. They have been talking about his potential for 5 years now. Every time he has one decent game it gets followed up by a half season worth of no-shows. This guy goes invisible for incredibly long amounts of time. Pass...
