hehe, I know. Hopefully in a few years as these player cycle out the new players will bring the sport back. But as long as the money is so ridiculous I'm not sure how realistic that is.
It's just Manny being Manny. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-streeter-canseco6-2009apr06,0,6320360.column Canseco accused him of juicing in April.
I agree with you on this. I have never thought that any team is clean just that the people who were forced to speak to the Mitchell report (by the feds) were focused on just a few teams. Actually, I'm suprised so few Mets were linked in the report because of the link to their club house.
Hey another thought, I bet LA is regreting the second year player only option on that contract. Now that he is missing 50 games even if it was a doctor screw-up would have dropped his value!
I guess we're lucky he's not on the Red Sox anymore, else we would've had another huge Red Sox fans-Yankees fans argument.
And that's where a lot of the whole "Mitchell report is a sham because he's a Red Sux schill" comes from. No Red Sox implicated, no Mets implicated (even though the guy was in their clubhouse) etc. There was definitely ground left out of the investigation. Whether that was because there was purposeful ignorance of evidence or a lack of enough concrete material is up for debate. In the end, it doesn't even matter. We know there are dirty players. That's all that matters. And it's all major sports too. I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop on basketball or hockey. Shit, I wouldn't even be surprised if at this point it came out that Tiger Woods was juicing.
Manny will lose $7.7 million... The Dodgers could swoop that money in a possible trade for a pitcher when it comes deadline time.
Really glad the Mets didn't sign Manny! I don't care if its a doctors mistake, the players are still responsible
