Before you blast my statement, I'm not referring to having to pay the extra cost of watching a game at the new stadium. What I am referring to is the amount of balls the franchise has shown since 2008 because of the attempt to sell these tickets. Say what you want about Sanchez, or even Favre for that matter, at least the F.O. is taking risks. I like the fact that the Jets matter in the news and are not just a getting the spillover of media attention left over from the Giants. Remember the days of us screaming for Paul Hackett's head and the organization doing nothing about it for years? Well look how quickly the F.O. fired Mangini after he showed his incompetence. Although I don't like how this is profit driven, I like the results that it has brought to the team. Stay ballsy New York!
it doesnt bother you that the fans are making the calls? it bothers me. i am rather disgusted with just about everything at this point and there is not much going on that makes me happy with this franchise.
no i am not, i am convinced and have been that this kid is anything BUT a franchise qb. i am sick that we spent our entire draft on 2 guys. one of which if he doesnt succeed and i dont think he will, will have a tremendous amount of guaranteed money owed him. top 5 qbs failing costs teams 5 years. i am one of a very few who doesnt like sanchez, i really dont like him. i do not feel as though he will be a great or franchise qb in any way shape or form. i was sick when i heard mannenbaum say that woody was involved in the decisions. basically the only thing making me happy about the jets right now is that we are NOT the raiders.... then again they dont have psls getting shoved up their ass though.
Are you the guy who said in the NYJ draft blunders video "Obviously the Jets know something that the people down here dont?" when asked about why the Jets took Ken Obrien over Marino? I digress...if the F.O. did exactly what the fans wanted then why are half the people on this board pissed about our draft?
pretty sure that wasnt me. the overwhelming majority are saying its a great move and annointing him the savior already. that was definitely a big fan boost move. i said it earlier when they fired mangini that it was almost like they were doing it because of the fan reaction. it was the first time in my life i ever felt that a FO had fired a coach/manager due to fan reaction. bottom line is that fans in general are a very very stupid bunch. and should NEVER be given the power to make decisions. at this point with all the things i have seen and the porkies debacle i absolutely feel the inmates are running the asylum.... only for the almighty dollar though.
wow i JUST realized what will happen, 2 years from now woody will go in a box and never make a big signing again. he will be too busy counting his money.... wait a second no he wont cause jets fans arent stupid and wont pay for the shit psls even though we drafted a crappy qb.
like someone mentioned...you'd be okay to keep three 1 dollar bills (picks) over one 5 dollar bill (sanchez)? sometimes its pretty simple, quality>quantity
If our politicians had balls and brains they would eliminate the entertainment expense tax write off for sports tickets. I would love to see the look on Woody's face if that ever went through.
2 minutes prior you said fans were generally a very very stupid bunch. Now you say jets fans aren't stupid. Are you just sleepy or are the meds wearing off? I don't see how the second QB taken is crappy. You may disagree w/ the pick, but that's a little harsh.
Looking at what Mangini has done since being fired, I can clearly see that he still is in way over his head.
