Rex has really brought out Tanny's personality. He is cracking jokes and being more light-hearted. He's not so secretive and stoic in public relations anymore like when Mangini was around... a few months ago he'd literally spend 2 minutes answering a question while saying NOTHING ala "We will do what's best for our organization." I think Mangini's whole say as little as possible and be as withdrawn as possible demeanor and modus operandi rubbed onto Tannenbaum. But it looks like him and Rex are really hitting it off and complementing each other well.
I think he's just excited it's draft time and he got his boy Sanchez. I really haven't noticed a difference...
Yea that could be true but I tend to not even listen to GMs before the draft. 99% of the time they are lying so why listen.
I don't know that I noticed this, it is possible, but I don't recall noticing it. One observation I have made though, is this is the first year that it was pretty well known who we wanted in the draft. Since Tannenbaum took over, nobody knew we wanted Brick, Mangold, never heard the name Revis. This year everyone and their mother seemed to know we wanted Sanchez. I don't know why that is, just something I noticed.
I've gotten the same impression. Whether that translates into more success remains to be seen, but there definitely has been a difference.
Tanny did a great job of sending out a smokescreen regardless of whether he has lightened up or not. No one knew we wanted Sanchez that badly.
I've got to be honest, i really have not noticed much if any difference in Mike, he still has the same expressions, he bust some jokes when Mangini was here, i think the atmosphere is different with Rex around, which makes it seem like everyone else is different. Personally i have seen little to no change in Mike.
i have noticed it. he seems like much more of a tool now. a shape changer who follows what his coach is like. isnt the gm in charge of the coach? and can anyone explain to me why woody johnson is involved in any kind of draft?
