As tempting as that sounds, I really would like to keep our draft picks for next year. We have been trading away too many picks as of late

I would love to get Braylon for that deal... but would Cleveland really want TJ? They already have an over the hill RB in Jamal Lewis... not sure they want another.

our second round pick is tied up in the lito sheppard deal

we only have to give it to them if he plays 85% of the snaps and they pay him the $10 option bonus (which likely won't happen), but i don't think we can trade the pick

No, don't do it. We can't expect Shonne Greene to be responsible to handle the amount of carries Rex is going to put on the starting running back. Thomas Jones led the AFC east, why would we want to get rid of him right now? We need Shonne Greene to learn the offense, and ease into his role for future years. Do you not remember what happened to Caddilac Williams after his first year? They gave him way to many carries as a rookie, and he was completely worn down.

We have 2 young backs and one veteran who has proved he can pound the ball. That is a perfect mix. Let Shonne learn from TJ.

I agree. We don't know what we have yet in our WR corps and in our QB. RB is our strongest unit so it would be foolish to break that up. Remember, we plan on running the ball a lot this year

If Vilma signed before becoming a free agent, we were to get the #2, and the Giants would have gotten their #1. Because Vilma was allowed to be a free agent, we got a #3 and Giants got the #2. They were either giving up a #1 and a #2 ....or.... a#2 and a #3.

Lito Sheppard will officially play 1 year in NY on his current contract. We're gonna sub him out a lot to stay within under the 85% threshold. Even if he plays well we're likely gonna let him hit free agency.

We need to keep Thomas Jones for at least 1 more year. It would be a horrible move to get rid of him now.

That's a lot of faith in Shonn Greene.

nope, nuh-uh, bad idea jeans, WARNING, avoid, tack 3 steps back!

why are we acting like our offense can function w/o TJ just b/c we got Sanchez and Shonn? expecting instant results much?

    Rex won't trade away Jones.

He wants multiple running backs, hard runners, and fresh legs. Jones is the only proven every down back we have, there is no way he gets traded.

    Not this year atleast.

Most likely not provided he S'sTFU and plays the contract that he signed. He isn't indispensable anymore and is only worth what we have already agreed to pay him.

He was the most frustrating receiver to watch last year. The guy dropped so many gimmies it wasn't funny. So many drives killed by this guy's hands. I hated it so much, especially since I had to deal with Steelers fans all fucking year. If he can get over his drops then he could be a premier wr in the league but until then I wouldn't put too much value in him. He gets open so often and just winds up putting the ball on the turf too many times, it's sickening.
