...the fact that we still don't have a true #1 wide receiver? What do we have that would be valuable in a trade for Anquan Boldin, Braylon Edwards, Chad Ocho-Cinco, etc.? Ideas? Suggestions? There is such a gaping hole at this position and I cannot see the Jets ignoring this situation going in to Training Camp.

I say that Cotchery is our #1 and Clowney is our #2. Might not seem like a good idea at the moment, but, the only other option is signing Marvin Harrison that I can see right now.

We can't fill all our holes in one day. We definitely could use a WR and also a DE, TE, OL and DL depth. Look for us to fill some of those holes tomorrow. I feel like we will go into the season still needing a true #1 WR and maybe a hole on the DL. But right now, you have to feel pretty good about the direction the team is heading.

What if we traded for Chad Johnson? I think our 3rd this year and our 2nd next year would be a fair trade for both sides to win on.

That is too much to give up. Randy Moss was traded for a 3rd (or was it a 4th rounder?).

I say get in Louis Murphy, he is one of the most under-rated players in this draft, i hate the Florida Gators but a good buddy of mine is a big fan, so i watched them all season, and Murphy has everything you want, good size, good speed, nice hands, acceleration, toughness. If we come out of the draft with him, i will applaud the management for a good draft.

A 3rd this year. nothing more than that.

But the draft still has some very talented WRs left. I don't know if any of them are "True #1's" but with our WRs on staff, plus rookies, will certainly provide us with an effective receiving corps.

Don't reference the Moss deal like thats the Bar. He was on a down turn, the Raiders wanted to unload him and some thought his days in Minni were a gone.

All you need to say is "Don't reference the Moss deal like that's the bar, Al Davis was in charge of it."

And Moss was traded for a fourth..he wouldn't have minded coming to the Jets and re-synching with Pennington but that was when Mangini was on his choir boy trip.

I agree, it may just be that we have to wait until next year to get that big playmaker, and slug it out on the ground until then.

Murphy should be there for us in round 3.

If we played our cards right we could end up with WR Murphy, RB Green and DE Gilbert, it may take some maneuvering, but it can be done. In addition we could pick up a FA veteran WR. That should take care of us for this year.

My opinion is sit Sanchez ala Carson Palmer, and next year as Mr. E, Jabba, and others will tell you there a couple of really good WR coming out next year, like Dez Bryant and Arrelious Benn are going to be great WR in the NFL and Lafell certainly could be pretty good as well
