your username is Al Toon, and you don't consider him a true #1 WR?
Toon was by far best WR we've had in 'recent' era.

Wesley Walker and Lav Coles in his hey day also were true # 1 WR's. Keyshawn was drafted to be a #1, but never lived up to where he was drafted. Chrebet actually was better than him, especially on 3rd down, which makes it hard for to consider a diva like Meshawn a true #1.

You never trade up for a WR, and if you take one in top 5, you better be sure you are getting a Calvin Johnson and not a Meshawn.
Crabtree fits the bill, Maclin doesn't.
Maclin could potentially be there at #17 now that Jax signed Holt.

Best bet, trade back a little in round 1 if Macline gone, and trade up a bit in round 2 where you get a WR.

I never really looked into Maclin but I saw that he had torn an ACL PCL and MCL couple years back I think that would scare me a little. Do you ever fully recover 100% from this??

How do you have that user name and state we haven't had a #1 WR since Maynard? I'd say Walker, Toon and Keyshawn were all #1 WRs, easily.

I agree with you on the draft, if we're going to trade up and get somebody I'd rather get a WR who can step in here and make a difference right away. That could also lead to some answers about the QB position with the guys we have.
