http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...draft_busts/nfls_biggest_draft_busts.html#ph0 Seems we have not one but two honorable mentions on this esteemed listing. If things continue progressing as they have been, there will be three.. See #'s 13 and 18 for the Jet representatives..
I was surprised he was there, but when you consider he was drafted #4 vs. his impact as a football player, I think it is a fair ranking.
Before I look, lemme guess which two of ours get mentioned.... Blair Thomas Lam Jones Maybe Ron Faurot
Oh, OK.. we had three in the list. I wasn't expecting a current player, but won't argue about Dewayne Robertson deserving the dubious honor. When you look at some of these guys and see where they were drafted... this guy was a # 4 overall pick! Sheesh.
oops, didn't even realize that Mr. Robertson was cut by the Broncos last season, thought he was still with him. I guess that helps solidify his selection in the bust list.
We have had bigger busts then Drob by a long shot. He is not even in our top 3 IMO. My all time biggest draft bust is Mike Ditka trading the Saints whole draft for Ricky Williams. The saints never got close to a whole drafts worth of value for Williams.
I did a google search for "Dewayne Robertson" - one of the hits that came up: Account Suspended www.dewaynerobertson.com/ - 1k - Cached - Similar pages I forgot that a lot of these guys get their own .com's. If you go to it now, it says that account is temporarily suspended (temporarily? He planning on making a comeback any time soon?) - that's kinda depressing...sorta like a permanent internet tombstone or something...
I was surprised that Mandarich was rated that low. For 20 years he's been the poster boy for "biggest NFL draft bust", among other things
